Hi there , I’m not much of a vlogger so what Nikon would you recommend for still photos ?

How is auto focus? My Sony ZV1f autofocus is lock-blur, lock-blur and frustrating as anything. I think Nikon will be my best bet with phase detect. What's your opinion on the autofocus?

I found it interesting you criticized the grip being on the "wrong" side for a vlogging camera but guy put it on a grip handle when he used it. Which is what you would expect a clogger to do. This might be my next camera

Are there any indicators on a new cropped Nikon with IBIS any time soon? My z50 is in the shop (for the dumb LCD cable design) and I’m wondering if i should pay the $$$ to fix it or consider switching systems if IBIS won’t be here for a few more years. Any ideas?

As Nikon shooter for years, in my opinion it's a perfect camera to mount it on gimbal, plus tiltable screen which is plus one, fast in autofocus, phenomenal image quality, for the price it has lots of benefits, I'm looking forward to invest in one.

For a hands on review, didn't really see much of the camera actually in your hands or in your pocket. Hard to say how well this would work as a compact travel camera replacement based on this video..

What's the video crop factor in 1080p 30 frames ? For nikon z30

I just purchased the Z30. I really like the quality and features, But 7 hours charging to get 30 minutes shooting video at 1080p (30) that's extremely disappointing and means to actually get any realistic use out of this camera i will need to pay for another half dozen batteries and change them every 30 minutes or less and spend several days just for charging.

Adding the Small Rig to the Z30 is a great upgrade.. I've had my Z30 since it came out and love it for vlogging but my trusy old Canon 70D still gets the nod for stills.

I am a novice in the world of photography, I have a Nikon D7200, I have been looking for a little more compact mirror less camera but don’t want to lose all of the quality in photo taking. Would you recommend this z30 to me? I mainly shoot nature and wildlife.

The only reason I choose this is because I have a lot of lenses from Nikon, and with other brands you have to buy a 600+ lens adding to the costs

I bought this camera last week for my roommate to shoot her content. I specifically bought it because of the flip screen, my D5300 has one and I think every camera should be so equipped. When I got it home and started playing with it I found it has a lot of features that my D780 has, we have had a lot of fun with the built in filters. She works as a go-go dancer and the girls at the club are booking shoots already. I definitely bought more camera than I bargained for. Thank you Nikon, you are giving people an affordable option to the crappy cameras on cell phones.

Yes, it is herky jerky. Sound is mediocre. The lens stabilization only works when held still. This camera is years late. Consider a gimbal as a mandatory accessory.

I dont know why you still say that it matters how you look with a camera, thats why so many photographers still think they are better cause of their better camera but actually I did so many jobs with my fuji x100 without the evf and got hired again and again even when there where guys with a canon R6 or other pro cameras.

Please stop saying people with a non pro camera without an evf look less pro cause it doesnt matter what camera they have it only matters what pictures they produce!!!

What lens did you use to shoot the (in studio) video on Z30 ??? . I don't think that you use the kit lens. Kit lens is NOT F 1.8.

Don’t agree. No one looks anymore into a viewfinders with such nice bright screens where you are able to see all in much better form then sticking your eye into a tiny box. This thinking of professional approach it’s backward as f…. For a good example think of photography with large or medium formats. Get a grip.

I just bought this to replace my ZV1. Not much bigger (my ZV1 has the necessary Ulanzi stick on lens and cage), it weighs the same, and the image quality is absolutely fantastic. The stabilisation is fine also with the kit lens on. The low light performance on this camera is awesome. I also take a lot of stills and this is a brilliant stills camera. I don’t need an EVF. The camera performs amazingly well on the auto setting as well straight out of camera. I also was not expecting the autofocus to be as good as Sony but it’s not far off and no issues there either. It’s just been reduced in price and if you are in the market for a small form factor camera, perhaps for travel, it is really hard to beat now.

Someone advice me between Canon M50 Mark 11 and this one which is better.

What do think about using this as a wedding Video camera.

Nikon hat eindeutig zu viel Geld, denn, statt einmal eine richtige Kamera ( wo von Z30 bis Z9 ) alles drinnen ist , würde extrem viel Geld von Planung bis Produktion einsparen, Müll vermeiden und den Markt schonen mir zu viel Kameras die alle eine Macke haben. So hätten wir nur eine für die nächsten 10 Jahre und nicht aller Monate ein neues Fast-Gut-Modell welches niemanden so richtig glücklich macht. Nikon überlegt es euch mal, ihr könntet euch und uns allen kostbare Ressourcen sparen und auch eure Gewinne besser planen und erhöhen. Wetten das alle anderen Kamerahersteller es nachmachen werden ! Bitte probiert es mal zu rechnen.

Ich wüßte gern wie du ohne dieser komischen Perücke aussiehst! aber auf jeden Fall viel besser, oder sind das Gene vom Löwen?

is there any dynamic zoom (called in Panasonic, also called clear image zoom in Sony) and digital zoom? Can we extend the power zoom lens to limit using the control on lens follow by extending the camera built in zoom function using the camera control system?
