What one item would you take back to Medieval Europe?
ОтветитьThere is no longer the abundant oxygen and clean air of those times, there is no global warming caused by humans and there is no pollution of the seas. 😊
ОтветитьNowadays, villagers have a special smell!!
ОтветитьWas it known at that time that vinegar could be a good remedy?
ОтветитьRELIGION IS THE CAUSE OF ALL THE BS IN THE WORLD FROM THE BEGINNING OF TIME..ESPECIALLY CHRISTIANITY
ОтветитьI think this is common across the world that excepting the bath in equatorial countries. Due to amenable weather and abundance of water, people bathed at least once every day as mandated by religion or society.
Discharging poo, most people in India used to discharge their poo in a farm and then bury their poo with soil. Of course washing the ass with water was of paramount importance.
Camphor, salt, coal mix powder along with a wooden stick was used as a dental hygiene thing.
Pubic hair removal and hair in the arm pit hair removal was a norm at least among the royals and nobles, if not among the commoners.
But usage of water to cleanse the ass and genitals has always been the norm at least here. May be dude to the climate, less to do with religion.
Someone please explain where the primitive art came from? The Middle Ages weren't devoid of realistic looking art work, so I don't get why we are always shown drawings of a 12 year old???🤷🏽♀️🎭
ОтветитьBums of today still live this way
ОтветитьA radio
ОтветитьVery interesting. Thank you, Weird History.
ОтветитьHe really has something against Indians doesn't he.
ОтветитьMattresses made of stroll. Wool blind
My My allergies would be through the roof I thank God to find myself in this time and century. I thank the Lord and Jesus Christ for being my savior baby girl. What a sad tiwe have penicillin. Now if they got sick there would be a problem😢
Where do you get these facts Weird History? I've seen other channels saying that peasnts not being clean is a common misconception
ОтветитьA+ video!
LOVE IT! That is something I will probably constantly think about for a week at least.
Their hygiene practices are radically different than ours today!
The US, at one point less than 20 years ago, was the only country in the world that put such a high emphasis on cleanliness and sanitation.
The medieval ages weren’t a very romantic time now is it Disney?
ОтветитьSo people stopped evolving around medieval times.
Because I googled... and diva cups are still widely used, as well as religion still prohibits menstruation.
I really wish you added sources. Those are a lot of big claims.
ОтветитьIma tell you right now that disgusting lifestyle affects frequency of menstruation. When i was homeless i hardly remember ever having one my life was so unstable my body shut down a but
ОтветитьWhen everybody smells, nobody smells.
Ответитьthe gong fermer
ОтветитьBe thankful you werent a woman in medieval times...
ОтветитьProcreation must have been a filthy affair.
ОтветитьAt least they could eat and breath clean, no PFAS, no pesticides, no oceans so polluted! No cookies to stalk you online. All times has its evil...!
Ответитьall they needed was a couple gallons of water bar soap and washcloth
ОтветитьNasty 😂
Ответить"Eeughh whats what smell? Oh.. it's just the hygiene habits of medieval peasants" 😂
ОтветитьThank God I live in current day. I WOULD never want to live in this era.. It's disgusting. I have a friend who is obsessed with Medieval Times and wish that she lived back then. Bruh, she must not know how gross and dirty it really was. The movies definitely hide the truth. 🤢🤢🤢
ОтветитьThese people had a hard life.❤
ОтветитьIslamic civilization contributed a lot for you guys.
ОтветитьPretty sure it was nonexistent
ОтветитьNothing?
ОтветитьWho else came here from ster?
ОтветитьGives the game of the thrones a whole new meaning
ОтветитьSwagkage is that you?
ОтветитьI was born in the late 20th Century and yes we have toilets then like we do today with similar designs
ОтветитьShout out to the ppl who took a shower before this 😂
ОтветитьThey did in fact have noses and a sense of smell so they did what they could
ОтветитьIt's interesting how most of these issues were caused by simply having a low population. A village can't really build plumbing or have specialized laundries because every able-bodied person was required for the labor-intensive agricultural work
However, as the population and wealth rose, so did these problems slowly go away - it wasn't that they didn't know how to fix it, it was that there just wasn't enough money and manpower to fix
The poor sods who had to clear out cess pits were known as "gong farmers", at least in the UK. Gong being a synonym for 💩!
(First time I have had genuine cause to use that emoji 😂)
That’s funny to see this video because my friend has gout and I didn’t even Google it
ОтветитьI'm still trying to figure out how anyone wiped their butt with straw or hay...edit: or why?
ОтветитьThis is me trying to feel better about myself after crawling out of bed a week without showering because of viral pneumonia and the flu :(
Am clean now
I feel itchy watching this
ОтветитьJesus, what a shit show (literally). I would much rather be a Paleolithic hunter-gatherer 😐😐😐
Ответить“Dirty food, dirty hands and dirty mouth,” hahaha dayum! 😂
ОтветитьIt was an English doctor in the 19th century who discovered that poor sanitation could lead to disease
ОтветитьI really enjoy your videos. You have a hilarious way to tell history 😂
ОтветитьIm sorry...but how in the world did we make it to where we are now and being so nasty? Blows my mind!
