Nagorno-Karabakh: Armenia vs. Azerbaijan explained

UPDATE (10th November 2020): The Armenian government and the de-facto authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have announced an end of the 2020 Karabakh war, as they can no longer support the war effort. They and Azerbaijan have agreed to start implementing a peace plan brokered by Russia. Not all details are public yet, but we know that it is similar to the Madrid principles shown in the video:  

- Armenian forces will withdraw from all of Karabakh 
- Armenia will return certain regions in the Karabakh lowlands to Azerbaijani control 
- Azerbaijani forces will remain in control of all the recently captured territory in Karabakh 
- Russian peacekeepers will be stationed in the parts of Nagorno-Karabakh still under Armenian control, based in Stepanakert/Xankəndi to enforce the ceasefire for 5 years
- Armenia will retain a temporary corridor with Nagorno-Karabakh protected by Russian peacekeeping forces  
- Internally displaced people and refugees will be returning to Karabakh 
- An exchange of prisoners of war, detained persons and the dead will be conducted.
- Armenia agreed to allow the construction of infrastructure linking Azerbaijan's autonomous Nakhichevan exclave with the rest of the country

The Azerbaijani government has also announced that Turkey will be part of the peacekeeping force, however no details have been released yet on that. It is also not yet clear what will happen to the Armenian populated regions of Karabakh (will they be reintegrated into Azerbaijan with autonomy or without?).

Your narration is partially biased towards Armenia and reflects the Western view. Azerbaijanis didn't adopt Turkish language! They were Turks from the beginning! And they lived there way before Armenians. Armenians don;t have a history there more than 2900 years at best! They are Indo-European and just like Persians and Kurds immigrated there those times while Turks have had civilizations there since 7000 years ago, like Aratta, Sumerians, Ilamids, Qutbey, lulubey, Manenna , Mad, Sakas, Arsak before Islam! Qarabag was mostly Turkish when it was captured by Russia in 1805 and its Ruler was Turkish too. In Russian statistics there in 1827 the majority of the population was Turkish as well as the ruler. Russia later brought and settled Armenians to change the demography in its favor. So one cannot claim land by gradually increasing population. They could have stayed there under Azerbaijani rule but decided to fight and commit kill Azerbaijanis and then paid the price.

Khankendi is the center of Karabakh. It is very funny that you inform people with such false ethnic maps, even when the name of the region is Turkish. We are responsible for this. My opinion is quite simple. Both countries came to existence at the same time in 1918 and 1991 and have always fought for that piece of land and since Azerbaijan has overall way more land than Armenia it would be fair if Azerbaijan gives that portion to Armenia. Even at that point Azerbaijan will still be the significantly bigger country of the two.

For the next half century, discussion about who should own Karabakh - Armenia or Azerbaijan, fell silent.

As for your points on why Iran supports Armenia, it is almost entirely because of Israeli-Azeri cooperation. Azeri separatism within Iran is fringe and unpopular, although your point may make sense on the surface...practically it does not apply. Iran, despite being home to many ethnicities, does not have (and has not had for ~200 years) any noteworthy grassroots seperatist movements. Azeris, Baluchis, Kurds, etc. are Iranian first and their respective ethnicites second.

Russia wont help because it needs Iran as an ally at this moment in time more than it needs Armenia. But after the war in Ukraine is over this will change substantially.

You must acknowledge that God created you in His image, God has blessed you! But you walked in some ways God did not trace and this is what led you in your current situation. You must acknowledge that you are responsible for your situation. If you say, "oh Brother Philippe, I saw him in a dream…" or "there is a prophet who said it to me in our church", then you are defeated in the battle of the mind. You must know that the devil can give you revelations to raise you against your parents, in order to increase your curses. And the devil can go through the prophet of your church, through the pastor of your church, through a woman or a man of your church to give you a revelation to set you far from your parents or to raise you against your parents. But God cannot do that.

6 You must acknowledge that the author of your sufferings is you. For instance, you are a woman and you live with a man who has not endowed you. Then, you must know that you are in a position contrary to the will of God. [Ed: The congregation says, "Amen!"]. [Kc.18v8] [Kc.51v36]

7 You who have diplomas and who have no social situation, nobody is at the root of your sufferings. When you had sexual intercourses like Adam and Eve outside the marriage, didn’t you know that you were preparing your own curses and sufferings on earth? Was somebody at the root of that? And inspired by demons and false prophets and liars, you accuse your parents, exposing them to shame.

8 I tell you that any pastor, prophet detector of sorcerers is a demon, a fetish priest. Only fetish priests can show sorcerers. The day I see a spirit of sorcery one of the disciples that God has given me, I will deliver this disciple without anybody knowing it. You see? You failed to discern that those prophets, denunciators of sorcerers, were nothing other than weapons in Satan’s hands in the battle of the mind.

9 Know that, as soon as you become suspicious or you change your behavior towards somebody, you have lost the battle of the mind. If you are true children of God, you must overcome the battle of the mind. And as I’m talking to you, turn your eyes over the past, if there is a person you cannot receive in your heart then you have lost the battle of the mind.

10 Recently, a pastor of an evangelical church told me that his mother was a witch and that this one had pursued him in a dream. And I asked him what I should do the day I meet his mother! There are enclaves pretty much everywhere, why should this region be any different? Armenia should officially get the mountain part and Azerbaijan should get the lowlands part, problem solved.

If Azerbaijan can own South Kars because it’s inhabited by Azerbaijanis then Karabakh needs to goto Armenia.

Armenian and Azerbaijanis are very different people. Both culturally and genetically, Azerbaijanis are Turkic people whereas Armenians precede the arrival of the Turks by millennia. Nonetheless all this is rather pointless, historical claims of one sort or another one serve as a pretext and have little value or relevance to the current situation. The current situation is that the Artsakh region is inhabited by Armenians and they are cut off from Armenia which is also a landlocked country surrounded by hostile entities except for Georgia maybe which also has instability problems of its own. It's bad enough that Armenians in Turkey were exterminated by the Turks there, now those is Artsakh are seemingly doomed to a similar fate by the Turks of Azerbaijan assisted by those on Turkey that apparently want to finish the job...
