How do I know when and where to put the {}? I can't seem to get the logic behind it. For ex: db.players.find({"position" : "Goalie"}, {"name": 1, _id: 0}).pretty(), which is your code, is different from db.players.find({"position" : "Goalie"}, {"name": 1}, {_id: 0}).pretty(), which is mine. Obviously, the latter did yield a result, but not desired. How can I know when and how to use it?

Don't know how you were getting that simple AND syntax to work with two objects

.find(
{ "first" :"this"},
{"then":"that"})

Because when I was querying nested documents I had to use the

.find({
$and: [
{"my.nested.obj": "name"},
{"my.nested.obj": "phone"}
]
})

Great tutorial bukky! I kind of like this one, there is lots of examples here. I cant tell when you use {}, [], and () within the command as criteria. I had to try them out to know the right one to use. Weldon dude
