Another great quilt. A lucky little one will love this!
ОтветитьFound this so helpful, as I am new to quilting many thanks.
ОтветитьThat was wonderful, thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for your instruction. I am finishing my first crazy quilt and I didn't know how to add the backing and binding. Your instruction was clear and so helpful!
ОтветитьI'm working on my first quilt right now. You made that look so easy that it eased a lot of my worry. Thank you.😊
ОтветитьThanks so much for this video. After watching 10 different videos I landed on this that actually explains how finish a quilt. ❤
Ответитьthanks much... I am getting ready to finish a quilt I have been working on for 15 years....
ОтветитьThis was so helpful thank you so much ❤
ОтветитьWow Thank you so much for showing me how to bind.
ОтветитьI have just finished my first ever quilt top and found your wonderful video to know what to do to finish my quilt! Thank you for your clear instructions and excellent filming. Most of all thank you for being so kind and sharing your knowledge and skill.
ОтветитьRookie, first time quilter here and with your help, I finished binding my quilt today. Many thanks for showing me exactly how it’s done.
ОтветитьThanks - this was really clear and very helpful.
ОтветитьLove your quilt! You explained the binding in a way that I've never seen before, and I can't wait to try this on my next quilt. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьStruggling roo do batting and backing I keep getting it wrong side so just watching and now paying extra attention watching ue videos thanks
Ответить❤️🤍💙 Thank you, Beth.
This so straightforward. I just finished 3 tops during school winter break. Now to Finnish them. You inspire and teach me to be willing to improvise which I had to do on the back of the log cabin as I did not have enough backing material.
this was VERYYYYY helpful, thank you so much for uploading
ОтветитьThank you so much. Very helpful.
ОтветитьI am brand, brand new to quilting and just today was trying to put my top, batting and back together. I made a mess trying to quilt it in my machine. Didn’t know about putting the the feed dog (?) down - now I do! And didn’t know about that foot, but I have one! So yay! Now: with the feed dog down what stitch do I use? Just regular, long straight stitch to make my loopdy-loops?? I know this is an older video but if someone sees this I hope you answer!! 😁
ОтветитьExactly what I need to do to finish an embroidered quilt top. Thank you, excited to try your technique.
ОтветитьI love this! Very helpful and you're so easy to listen to! I would have loved to see what you did with the corners on the top of the quilt with the binding. The quilt is lovely! 👏
ОтветитьJust what I was looking for, short and simple! Thanks for sharing, I love the final result :)
ОтветитьGreat video! Now I have the confidence I need to finish my quilt. Thank you!
Ответитьthank you Beth love your quilt. can't wait to sew a quilt.
ОтветитьThis has been very helpful, I love to do patchwork but was intimidated by the backing and binding and you have made it so simple.
ОтветитьThank you I finally understand how to do this
ОтветитьPretty fabric.
ОтветитьI just finished my first quilt top a few minutes ago and needed some guidance on how to handle finishing it, so I ended up here and am grateful for it. You made that look very easy and far less intimidating than I feared it would be. Thank you! Do you have any guidance for needle and machine settings when working with so many layers?
ОтветитьThank you. one of the tutorials that is clear and specific. thanks for posting.
ОтветитьThank you I really was going on an adventure, without a roadmap, till I found your tutorial. I am pleased with my baby granddaughters quilt.
ОтветитьI'm making a quilt for my second baby. I don't have any sewing experience, so this was helpful. One thing I can't do is iron the sandwiched pieces since I'm using wool batting. I'll also omit the binding and figure out another way to sew the edges together.
ОтветитьI can't wait to make my first string quilt following your instructions. Thank you for posting these tutorials.
ОтветитьThanks so much for the great video. Easy to follow instructions. I feel confident enough now to attempt a quilt! They are so comforting to me. 💕
ОтветитьOk I am machine quilting for the first time ....and I know you have probably told us many many times, but why do my stitch length vary? Why don't your lengths come in various sizes? Other than that it seems to be going pretty good? HELP please? Lynette
ОтветитьYou always take your time and explain so well...I have a question...actually a few. Did you use quilting thread for both top stitch and for bobbin? I have quilted for years, but watched my grandma do it the old fashioned way as she did not quilt with the machine, meaning the way she put the sandwich together was with yarn. She had an old brother and after she used every scrap of fabric she could to cut and sew pieces together, she would just basically put in anywhere from ten to 20 small holes, sew the yarn through using a larger sewing needle by hand only a few inches, and tie it to the top, or botton depending on which way you look at it. That way the small pieces of yarn were holding all three in place. I'm sure many have seen this method as it was the old fashioned way to hold it together. I"m not even sure if my grandma (bless her heart) knew what the idea of actually quilting it together with a machine was. She also used old blankets from previous as batting. This is what I used to do also. I love the way you use the free motion swirls and I am going to do my first real quilting with this method as although I love my grandma's way, growing up I always wanted to know how other quilts were so pretty and those pretty designs were on these quilts. Sorry for such a lengthy comment with questions....Respectfully, Lynette
ОтветитьSo glad I discovered you!
ОтветитьThank you Beth I like the pattern will try this one
ОтветитьLove the quilt!!! Thank you!!!
ОтветитьI have just found your channel. So informative. Greetings from New Zealand 🇳🇿
ОтветитьThat stripe is delicious...do you have a tutorial for this quilt?
ОтветитьPerfect! Exactly what I needed to know and straight on and to the point. THANK YOU! 👏
ОтветитьWow! That was great. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise. It’s just what i needed to finish this quilt the right way. “This quilt” is (was) a baby quilt that i had made for my now 20 year old daughter. She had kept it in her room, but never got used because it’s too small. I still had the original fabric so i decided to enlarge it. Now i wanted to make sure I finish it real nice. I expect it to be about 56”x66”, perfectly useable.☺️
ОтветитьThanks really good.
ОтветитьBeautiful quilt😃 thank you for your help, I needed this💖🙏
ОтветитьThank you for an easy to understand video and clear instructions of how to finish off the binding. I’ll never dread doing it again!
ОтветитьLove this. Yes! Green was perfect choice for quilting. So many videos dont tell how to do backing and binding in context. This is exactly what I needed!
ОтветитьMade two large twin sized quilts for my kids. But since I was (and am) terrified of changing my sewing needle foot and because I had no idea how to connect all three pieces, I ended up hand stitching everything together. They don’t look beautiful but they keep the kids warm. This year I’m doing the master bedroom quilt and I really want to do it right. This video helped a lot! Thank you!
ОтветитьThanks so much for doing this tutorial!!!
ОтветитьWhat kind of sewing machine do you have?
