How on Earth are you going to review a headset with the bass boost set to its maximum level 5? That's the most disengenuous way to review a product I've ever seen. In no way is that a fair and honest review.

Anyone know how to lower the microphone volume on these? Picks up way to much outside noise!

Well technically they could make a $99 headset sound like a $300 headset, but they would have to eliminate the $200 profit of the $300 headset… which would take more than magic to get them to do. Lol.

I got these when they first came out and your forced to use the equalizer the sound was horrible on default way too muddy way too crunchy way too much base was super static sounding

I have a big head and find some headphones uncomfortable.

This headset is very comfortable for me. I don't really notice that I'm wearing it.

Current year they are $70 on Amazon and I am sure after 2 years there have been several updates. Getting these because I don't have a home sound system so I miss out on watching movies with good sound quality.

These sound godawful out of the box, but after setting the EQ and Atmos properly, they sound absolutely insane for the 100 bucks.

Mic sounds better than steel series and razer which are double the price. The only ones that I say can’t be beat are the Logitech pro 2 both audio and mic. PS platinum headsets also have an unbeatable mic and sound but those are for ps. And the fact that these can be used on console and pc $100 doesn’t sound too bad.

I just got the Starfield version of this headset. It connects to my phone no problem. Even with the xbox/PC, adapter, it's a struggle to get it connected to my PC. I've never bothered with headsets before so the problem could be me.

The ability to connect to Xbox wireless protocol and bluetooth on your phone, makes these a really sweet work headphones too. I can connect them to my PC (using the Xbox usb wireless dongle) and to my phone at the same time, making the juggle between team calls and phone calls a breeze, as I never need to take them off.

i was actually surprised to find out that it's only 100 bucks. the sound might not be perfect, but everything else is great, especially the features and the microphone. I'm actually considering getting this.

Mic monitoring is horrible even on high. If they don’t fix in an update this thing is going back. I feel def.

Looking at buying a new headset this weekend. Upgrading from an old corded basic turle beach I got with the original Xbox one. Would you recommend this or the turtle beach 600 gen 2 max? Both being the same price. Mainly just wanting better sound quality than what I'm currently using. The volume doesn't really get high enough on this old headset for me. Thanks for your opinion in advance

The bass is overpowering at 1st... just go to EQ and turn it down. Perfect headset.

For the price, average. No Atmos included which undermines the USP entirely. Really tight on bigger heads, don't buy unless you have a peanut- head.
Sound is utterly average, even with Atmos.
Returned mine within 48hrs because they aren't great on XBox, but they are awful on PC.

Bit late but a warning, I've had 2 of these that have had a break in the microphone casing in the exact same place each time, apparently a known issue but not covered by warranty

Sets the EQ to completely flat, adds bass boost, then goes on to complain about how flat and lacking the sound is with an almost... BOOSTED bass sound that just walks too much, jfc, so long LMG 🫡 completely done with 90% of your shit being half assed, Anthony is about the only person on your staff with 100% competency and completion to his job (a current video) while being humble and honest but I suppose that's what we should all expect when the CEO does straight garbage reviews like this

Do these stay connected even after turning my Xbox controller off? Because I use mouse and keyboard on console but a connected controller interferes with the MnK registering properly, so I’m forced have to turn off my controller after I launch the game to play with my MnK.

Don’t purchase this headset it is very cheap the mic literally fell off of mine after a year I had to tape it up there are better options at this price

Are these good for calls as well? and is the mic/sound quality great?

You can spend $20 more and get a pair of dt 770s. No brainer.

Apparently the changing the eq helps with better sound as with most sound systems

Just arrived in the mail. Lots of problems. While in Hunt Showdown there is no audio in-game or during match summary, but audio comes back in in the lobby. However, people can hear my mic. Headset uses BT 4.2. I bought an ASUS-BT400 (BT 4.0) dongle because BT is not integrated in my tower. When I was having lots of audio issues on Day 1 I pulled the dongle out, Hunt Showdown crashed, and I got the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH (DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION). Today, I replaced that dongle with a new ASUS-BT500 (BT 5.0) and it only works marginally better. In fact, as long as I am in a video game environment (Hunt Showdown, MW2), I don't get any audio. The resources I find when searching online point me to the Xbox console, and Microsoft pages are from hell, generally. I cannot find PC resources for this blasted headset.

This mf has a lifespan of less than 1 year I keep having a problem where it says it's connected then erbodyy voice cuts out you can see they are talking but they can't hear you, you can't hear them nun or anything but the game. All while saying your connected and there is no problem.😭 makes me not even want a dam dirty Xbox anymore... 100$ in the drain. Had to take that L

I've seen a lot of reviews on sites with people complaining about disconnection, it never does that in my experience unless you move far from the console itself or the area your in has lots of signal interference but Xbox Wireless does use wifi bands and channels so idk.

These are ok audio wise. The mic sensitivity needs work and band hurts the top of my head after 20 minutes , so I returned them.

I have Astro a50’s (cream of the crop) for my pc and I still can’t hear the differen e in sound quality from them over cheapos

Is the USB-C just for charging or can you use it as a wired headset?
