How did Gengar come from a human if it evolves from Haunter? That's something that I don't understand. Some of these evolved forms claim to have origins that have nothing to do with what they evolve from. Can anybody explain this to me?

I love how most of these entries only explain one Pokémon. Meanwhile there’s entire herds of the same Pokémon. I don’t mind it. I like the specific backstories but it’s like,
