American police receives so little amount of time for training, in Finland our officers go straight 3year course with 6-10h daily lessons like typical school year / full fledge job

The problem in the USA is that the police are poorly trained. Yes, they can drive, shoot and often have big arms. But they don't learn self-defense, they don't learn police tactics, and their condition is often poor when they have to get out of the car. Another problem is that they often travel alone and always call for reinforcements. So why don't they go as a couple?
