The Shack - Judgment

This scene and the lead up to the waterfall moment all combined absolutely broke me down into tears. This movie is beautiful and powerful and all sorts of things that are so very good..... I didn't think The Shack would as great of a story until I saw it... and it did give me a new perspective of "Papa" in a sense. I can't really inscribe it into words, (more like feelings) I recommend that you guys watch this movie if you're currently in a rocky place (spiritually speaking), just prepare for the floodgates. How do we really know for sure who deserves to go to hell or goes to heaven??? For any individual who kill, hurt, abuse, rape, steal and does so for the majority of their life without care or remorse or regret for their actions can they still go to heaven or are they damned for eternity??? What if that person finally dies and his soul is standing between the heavenly gates and the pits of hell, do they have one last chance to repent all their actions and behavior or has his fate already been set in stone??? We will never know but only He can send you there. It’s like being in the Lord’s Court; GUILTY >👨🏽‍⚖️< INNOCENT???

Jesus is the most underrated person to walk this earth. He was a beautiful, selfless, perfect man that died for an ugly, selfish, and broken world of sinners and took every sin and the hell we deserved to the cross because he LOVED us. That's why we feel so unworthy of his love.

I understand the point of this scene but I also think that they should Mackenzie should be cut some slack. He was in a lot of pain and i think a lot of us would react to what happened to mackinzie In the same way.

This is Father’s heart. Man want’s to put their image on God when it was He Who created us in His image.

My favorite part of this movie!

Setting aside the grotesque immorality of what hell is and what sending anyone there means, why is it that McKenzie is willing to do whatever it takes to protect his children while god is willing to just stand by and let it all happen?

Wisdom didn't just suggest it, she said it: "another will in the universe". Really? This is the highest form of blasphemy and renders the entire story one huge lie.

This is the best scene I ever saw

I'm going to watch this tonight but only because it was mentioned several times in the Delphi murders case. Looks like a religious faith based tale. Interesting.

This is one of the BEST movies ever made.

Why not just destroy the "other will" in the universe? There's no option for a pain free life? Why not? There's no rational reason why god would allow the devil to continue existing except to test others. God was betrayed one by his highest angels and even his first humans, he had to be sure going forward. This whole thing is then a test to separate the wicked from the holy. God was contaminated and he cut out all that was contaminated and all that he thought was susceptible to becoming contaminated and placed them on earth to be tested. The worst suffering on earth inflicted in the worst possible way, will that cause you to hate god? Even if you found out later that when this life is over it's just a blink in the grand scheme, that even if you suffered 100 years it would still be a drop in the endless river of time? But if it's a test, then god had a beginning and the devil did too. That also means god will have an end. Then god is not all powerful nor all knowing. Hence, the test. God cannot help you if he does not hear you call to him. God also may realize you are a lost cause and abandon you. God may see you are weak and not help you. God may let you die in squalor because you are ready to join him. I could just be full of it because I sure do sound like it.

God would never sit us down and coerce us into forgiving our abusers. Period. I love this story, but this is fucked up.

This movie does not mean we should continue in sin, but rather we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling by repenting from these things that kept us sick. Only the Truth can remove the bonds of these burdens you all carry from childhood and throughout all of your lives.

This movie led me to our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ

This is one of my favorite movies. And this part is deep, however. I believe I can counter the part when she try’s to make him decide which child to save.
His children, are young and pure who have not committed crimes or hurt people… that’s not the same as choosing between individuals who have committed them horrible acts.

I understand the message in this scene, but the message itself bothers me so much! It bothers me that while the killer is one of his children, God is asking Mack to find forgiveness in the man's actions. He is asking Mack to forgive the man who killed his daughter, another child of God's I might add. Believe me, it is terrible that many people experience their own form of trauma in their lives, especially as children. However, that does not mean that they have the right to go and kill someone because of the trauma they experienced. So while I understand the message in the scene, I absolutely don't know how I would ever be able to forgive someone, God's child or not, who did something so horrible and twisted as this.

This movie wrecked me!! 😭

The moment she said "...He is the one to have set this in motion" I felt connected in the pain my children have had to experience for what I've set in motion, knowing full well what would likely happen and hoped it wouldn't... History often repeats itself regardless of any attempt to avoid anything foreseen.

I have been a pagan for many years now, but even as a pagan I acknowledge that there is one Great Being that was always there. That being said, I still return to this movie to remind myself that there is no good without evil, and that from facing the darkest types of evil, we can emerge stronger than ever on the other side.

Only mistake in that, is God could have stopped it and chose not to!!!.... so yes, god is guilty!!!.....guilty of doing nothing when he could have stopped it....makes him no better then satan himself
