Changing the Fates of Lost Food | Suzanne Mooney | TEDxUMPahang

Starting off her career as a BBC journalist in the UK, Suzanne Mooney's life took an unexpected turn after she came to Malaysia. In this eye-opening talk, Suzanne will paint us the picture of significant points in her life where they influenced her to make the decision of starting her own organization, The Lost Food Project, where they rescue surplus food from supermarkets and redestribute them to the needy. "Knowing there is all this surplus food in the supply chain that is actually causing environmental damage instead of feeding people is frankly quite shocking," Suzanne says. "And [it] is a real indictment on humanity."
