Top 3 Venture Tips

From a balance perspective, it just seems like Blizz didn’t really have a frame of reference. Venture does SO much damage, but they’re far safer relatively speaking compared to other DPS options.

Just feels like this’ll be another case of “have fun while they haven’t been nerfed yet. They’ll probably be bottom tier once those nerfs hit.”

No you cannot jump out of burrow safely if they have an ana. Ana's like me will prefire the sleep dart while you are unable to use drill emerging, and Venture will get slept instantly.

That second tip doesn't always work bc on ur way out of the ground you can get hit by an orisa javelin or anything with stun, I've hit multiple rocket punches on ventures doing this.

fun fact: you can hit a second of your melee before drill dashing someone, that allows you to oneshot squishies without having to get them low (its basically left click + melee + right click + left click), you can also do left click + right click + left click + melee, but your drill dash might push them away out of your melee range. Either way, you have to get really fucking close to do this oneshot, and there is a lot of time for support fuckery to just not let you oneshot em, but still, I cant count the amount of times I turned Venture into a stealth assassin by doing that to a support before they could react lmao

i’ve been doing tip #3 since release, i got her jade weapon and played her so much until she was nerfed, now i’m not as good at venture but that dig+ drill immediately and wait until the end of the dig to come out is SO useful when you need to farm ult. really good tip

as a masters support player, mostly playing ana/mercy. she gets into the backline for free and out just as free. Reaper TP takes way more time and during the cast of it you can be interupted way easier. make the cast time on her abilitys higher closer to reaper tele
