I THINK these are out of production now, but I picked up a new one on fleabay about two weeks ago for cheap, with an 11th gen (Iris XE graphics) cheap. RAM is so cheap now I ordered in 2x32 kit for it too. Still have only about $350 in it total!
ОтветитьNeed that hat lol
ОтветитьCan you remove the PC from the stand monitor and connect it to any screen or TV?
ОтветитьThe knocked over monitor has me dead😂
ОтветитьThis PC is more powerful than most computers in the 90's. Imagine a PC-Monitor combo in 20 years with a 4090 in it
ОтветитьI want this thing so bad as a second stealth computer to experiment with operating systems on without compromising my main PC
Also comments gone after the hack? Guess I get to claim first then?
Now I'm jealous
Ответитьimagine Dell building this with an AMD 5600G as CPU. Then you'll have a game-capable system..
ОтветитьI feel like this would be perfect for a double pc streaming setup, run the game on main computer and stream on monitor stand pc
ОтветитьNice to know! My school has these, no doubt all their 2.3" drives will be gone soon now I know this!
ОтветитьIt’s either Dell or Framework… Maybe both so we can prove how cool this concept with an upgradable, minimal e-waste future!
ОтветитьApple comparison is hilarious
Ответитьplease review dell optiplex 7000 micro with 12900 processeor
ОтветитьBut what it you use a framework motherboard to upgrade
ОтветитьLinus it's all about the LTV
ОтветитьLooks like the ultra’s have been discontinued
ОтветитьI am from future ... saying that "Dell still didn't thought to put it in production"
ОтветитьI've deployed these at work. They're actually pretty nice for office workers. People have regained shelves back where their old Optiplex towers used to sit.
Ответитьits like an all in one but you can change the monitor
ОтветитьI mean monitor mounted NUCs have been a thing for years. In my eyes this is nothing more than a slightly more sleek version of that concept.
ОтветитьLinus: because if you don't, someone else will...
Linus tech Threats...
Dell: our 1000$ monitor stand is the actual pc
Apple: ??????
This is what I'd want from a Mac mini.
ОтветитьApple always late in technology
Ответитьno segway this time linus ?
Ответитьi work in schools during the day, and these are not practical in schools where cable clutter is an issue,
and due to the pandemic, web cams and speakers are needed (neither of those are included) also the lack of useable convenient usbs, its not hard to see why its not taken off, great for reducing e-waste, but in 2022,
big companies dont care unfortunately, 90% of modern laptops have soldered memory, so if a memory chip dies, its and entire laptop of waste, seems to be the modern trend thanks to apple and this race to make things thinner
can it run cyberpunk
Ответитьthunderbolt 4 is just so efficient...
ОтветитьThis is ingenious!
Ответитьhere is a ideea of a vide: hack that old pc make it new, replace cable with magnetic ones, add a stand on the back of the monitor for a keyboard and mouse . Then you can just pull out the whole thing, click the keyboard and mouse on the back, shove it into a backpack and go.
ОтветитьMy old school actually bought these when they came out, these are amazing
ОтветитьThanks for the years of good content. Good luck with your new laboratory
ОтветитьSometimes I love Dell.
ОтветитьThis is an amazing idea for businesses
ОтветитьI cant believe I'm saying these words but Dell I want this so bad GIVE IT TO ME NOW
ОтветитьE-GPU that thing.
ОтветитьI use these in the production plant I work at as an IT specialist. They're amazing for mass maintenance, and deployment. Also, Dell has got something called a Wyse client, which is a small computer that just receives a client machine's stream from the server, usually virtual clients. So you can have a shit-ton of clients on a server, from one place, and the Wyse's will just provide a picture. The management dashboard is great, and easy to setup and use.
Its great for various check-in throughout the plant.
Good little computers.
still better than my potato
ОтветитьCude.
ОтветитьNo Tomb Raider benchmark?
ОтветитьWow. I'm cool with cpu not being upgradable. Just buy a new pc. Monitors are still reusable after the cpu becomes obsolete. This is what I hate about the iMacs.
ОтветитьProbably Dell forgot they have this the same way Linus did it.
Ответитьi do love myself some business machines for the easy to work with designs. and their generally improved robustness over their consumer counterparts (if they exist)
ОтветитьOOOOOH my carbon footprint is 3x the world average, SHAME ON ME! Especially considering something like half of the worlds population lives at a subsistence level, I should be more like them. Or else I'm a planet KILLER!
ОтветитьI've never seen one of these before
ОтветитьStill more upgradable than a mac
Ответитьthats tru
ОтветитьOn the picture it looks like a USB dongel. Good I watched this video.
ОтветитьHell, I'd buy just the module as a little living room PC for simple streaming of videos and basic friend games, like Jackbox
ОтветитьAnd nobody brought it to market...
Ответить
