Audacity - How to Record Computer Audio (Fast & Easy)

literally the best tutorial ive seen in my life. I've worked on cars and watched tutorials and they talk about random things happening in their lives. quick, simple and to the point. 100/10

it only work if you have an use an Realtek connection

Did all of the above & checked it twice (windows 10 64bit) but would not produce any recordable audio over in Audacity. Source playing the CD was windows media player. Should I be trying some other player?

in my devices for some reason I don't have "Stereo Mix" even with show disabled devices enabled

This really needs to be that complicated? In 2023 there is still not a button ' Record computer sound' ? I'm really afraid of messing up windows settings for another program I'm recording with daw and mic input, I finally got that to work (i'm a nood when it comes to recording audio and have gone through a lot of frustration to get it to work properly 😂)

there is no stereo mix in the choices its already enabled

You can also just switch the microphone in audacity to listen to your headphones or any speakers

it is outdated but i did it by making so it will also listen to the sound mixer and after the sound mixer in audacity will be used in the settings

accidentally check listen to this device and almost had a heart attack. do not press it please

If I check "Listen to this device" I hear a horrible echo and this is also recorded, so don't select that! I just restarted audacity and it showed stereo mix and it worked

it used to work without your help, then when I moved my PC somewhere else in the room, it just disabled. i tried doing all I can do but to no avail. until I searched up "how to record computer audio" this video came. it helped me out and went straight into the point!
