I LOVE DANIEL NEGREANU, he is what you call a perfect poker player. Phil needs people to say hes the greatest to boost his ego while players like Phil Ivey dont really care about being called the best player, they do it anyways because hes that damn good. Hellmuth is like LEBRON JAMES, SELF PRECLAIMED GOAT, while IVEY, NEGRENU are the MICHAEL JORDAN + KOBE BRYANT of poker.

I completely agree with Daniel, to add Phil , you really are a self promoting whiner. Ive watched games where youve said be quiet when im thinking but you do the complete reverse when theyre thinking as a distraction. One more point , poker evolves with time in ways where people who play differently and sometumes uncoventional, and they're younger and smarter. If you win you can brag a lil but its all the time and you and the other players make u look like a punk.

Seeing as how the WSOP is a complete waste of time for Ivey, I would say that Daniel is right. They have to pay him to play their events because Triton is just the most action for him. Daniel is right though it’s not just Ivey. Roble, Dwan, Polk, and plenty of the “GTO Players” are all firmly ahead of Phil now.

What Phil IS the best at and is arguably indisputable at this point, is the GOAT of BRM. The dude has never gone broke, stays within his lane, plays the games that are the most profitable to him and rarely cuts himself thin. If you want to follow anyone’s example of BRM then look no further than Phil Hellmuth. It’s not just tournaments either, it’s cash too. He just plays the cash games that he can afford and only takes shots when he can afford to do so. He’s not as big of a degenerate as others which has allowed him to preserve himself over the decades. If you want to compare that to others that have pulled ahead of him on a skill level, that’s a legitimate debate.
