How to use Autoglym Convertible Soft Top Clean and Protect Complete Kit

Very good product but definitely mask up the chrome trims. It stains it very easy if the product is left on it for any period of time.

I’ve just purchased this kit. Why did you stop using spray bottles? The application looks so much easier with them.

Before doing this, can I snow foam and shampoo the roof as I would a hard top then apply this to clean it better first? Then after applied can the roof be snow foamed in the future or to clean should it only be vacuumed and then rinsed with water and possibly a detailing brush to agitate? Also once protected can aqua seal be used on top too?

Do you have to wait for the roof to dry before applying the protector?

Does the protect still work after it has been applied, and then starts raining? Or will it need to be re-applied?

I have treated and protected my soft top with the kit, and the result is just amazing with a nice beading. Just one question please, how should i regularly wash the soft top without affecting the protection? Can i use Autoglym shampoo, or do i just have to vacuum or apply water on the soft op?

Ok, I used this stuff yesterday but the water doesn't bead off like shown, it just soaks in like it used to... I followed the directions correctly.

How many coatings will I need to apply of the protector? For saab 9-3 convertible. Half the bottle or full the 500 ml? I understand it need applying every 8 weeks

Does the roof need to be wet to apply the coating? Can it be done on a dry (previously cleaned) roof? Thanks

The instruction say, "mask off the body" I looking for information on that as that is a massive job. It is not shown in your video?

Does the protector offer any UV protection, i.e is there a UV block additive in it? I heard there is not? What's true?

This is a supeb kit. I used it on my fabric top and it looks damn good. Can you tell me how often should I apply this to the fabric hood?

Works a treat but i advise masking off the paint work and glass to prevent overspray spotting the surfaces

Excellent treatment for my garaged classic, which only goes out on dry days.....................................but you can't be too careful. The Autoglym 'how to apply' video is a great help
