Another excellent video and tutorial. I’ve been a woodworker for 40+ years and learn something new all the time. Videos like yours are a prime example. I look forward to your next one.

From a simple carpenter that still employs simple rabbets and dadoes, the accuracy and hand skills are a pleasure to watch.

I found your short and then watched your video. I'm glad I found it because i need to make a rectangular collar with the same finger joints. I wasn't sure how to go about it since my boards are long, like yours in the video. Looks like I need a jig like yours. Did you make the jig and do you have plans for it?

Absolutely killed it! The American “influencer” woodworkers like to steal ideas and claim their ownership, they also just talk about tools and want you to buy their 3D printed or cnc machines jig or plans….my point is…they don’t actually ever build anything! They mainly use “woodworking” as a “content” subject and scan views/clicks and make love to their selfie sticks! I watched this entire video and could just tell! You’ve got skills and what looks like an open shop or school?! Anyway, just wanted to say keep up the master craftsmanship and no bs content! As a 1/4 Japanese over 15yr carpenter/builder just like to say hello and show my respect to someone who deserves it! Cheers my brother!

I like this. I’ve seen a lot of woodworking videos and never seen this before. One question, why not do the entire depth on the first pass? Why come back for the second pass for depth? Is it because the length of the bit is too short?
