there is no record or ship registration for an "ss ourang Medan"...it's fiction.
ОтветитьI watch some of MrBallen's videos more than just one time and this is true, I have learned a lot more about history and
he tells the stories so well I don't forget it..
Such a great story teller..
True or not it’s a creepy maritime mystery ans one that definitely sends chills down your spine. If it’s not real and it never happened it works as an urban legend terrifying people of how vast the ocean is and how desolate one feels in the middle of nowhere. If it’s true it’s creepy because we still don’t know what happened either way it’s a good maritime tale that’s scary for somebody or anybody who loves the ocean and is on these vast trips across it. It unsettles you and gets under your skin..
ОтветитьThank you for your service!
ОтветитьWow ballin has gotten so much. Better
ОтветитьSounds legit if they were transporting illegal material for explosives which maybe there was a leak and they caused the explosion also the silverstar sailors probably wernt on board the ship long enough to be exposed to the chemicals which is why they didn't have a reaction.
ОтветитьI call bullshit, there is not one reported case of someone maintaining a frozen expression after death, you may get frozen in terror while alive but at death your muscles relax, no exceptions.
ОтветитьThere had have been something/someone valuable on this ship.. a chemical attack happened messing with the crews brain also explaining the rapid decomposition.. after the chemical attack someone boarded it did what they needed..then left a bomb behind
ОтветитьThe video game explains what happened…heh.
ОтветитьIf this story is true then what is life? Lol
ОтветитьOK, so here is what we know for a fact.
1) A strange distress signal was sent, it was picked up internationally and one ship responded to it and went to investigate.
2) The distress signal indicates the person sending it knows they will unalive.
3) For reasons unknown, the ship explodes and sinks without cause before anyone other than this single ship gets to it.
Everything in the middle is simply testemony from the crew that investigated. Now I am a believer in the supernatural, but it is equally possible that more scientific reasons are behind this. Let us, for a moment, assume that the entire crew of the rescue ship is either exagurating of flat out lying.
What could have caused a distress signal like that?
It could have been some kind of gas leak, or a chemical leak, it would explain how the operator knew he was going to unalive. Thats why the engine was shut off and the boat was adrift. It is equally possible the ship perhaps passed over a methane pocket that released gas into the atmosphere and by sheer dumb luck they happened to pass right over it.
There are possibilities.
Sweeties, him telling that he was a seal is because he wants people to know that he has been through shit (through a lot)!! Not to brag at all, but to ensure us about the fact that he knows what people can go through, that life can be a b*tch. It gives me a feeling of reassurance.
Whatever, I respect him!! He's a great storyteller and my father was that too (I'm now 64 so it's been long ago but he told me horrorstories by the campfire every weekend when we were in our
'country residence' (converted caravan). I enjoyed it so much, listening to Mr.Ballen warms my heart, the memories ..................
So thank you so much, dear Mr. Ballen!! I wish you all the best, lots of love to you and the family and all who are good at heart, Pinkie
kudos to your progress on story telling mr. ballen. <3 ive been a fan for a year and watching this and comparing to your vids now, its really joyous to witness your improvewment.
ОтветитьJust a thought... whole story is a cover up for high seas theft. Ship is destroyed, all crewmembers/witnesses dead. Was there ever a discovery of what the ships cargo was? Pretty easy to board a ship, especially if you have an accomplice or three aboard the ship, take over the ship, kill the crew, abscond with the cargo, and before you leave send a distress signal and then scuttle the ship. Piracy complete with mysterious alibi. Just a thought.
Ответить1st, Thank you for your SERVICE! 2nd, truly enjoying your content and editing\storytelling!😎👍 o7
ОтветитьI think that it's a fascinating case. It's too bad that the ship was never brought in. The transportation of illegal substances could explain both the deaths and maybe the explosion. If for some reason chlorine gas had been leaking onto the ship, then that could cause the crew to die with no marks and also make them appear to have decomposed a bit faster. The gas would have interacted mainly with the water in their lungs by turning to hydrochloric acid and basically eat them up from the inside. The pain experienced might cause them to reach away from their bodies, not in terror but in pain. The residual hydrochloric acid that might have formed on the surface of their skin could have also caused something that would have looked like decomposition. As to the explosion... assuming they had a variety of chemicals on board, the sudden jolt caused by the ship being towed might have caused something to fall over and or break causing a containment failure and thus an explosion. All this of course is totally speculation. I don't really know if chlorine gas would do that to your skin. It sounded plausible though.
ОтветитьMr. Ballen , Do you Remember " Mr. Rodgers "?
Ответитьthe frikin casual “was a navy seal for a LIL while”
ОтветитьPictures? Why no pictures? Did the crew make written log as they walked through the body? M. Illinois
ОтветитьGREAT VIDEO AND THANKS FOR SERVING DUDE!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThe 'Ourang Medan' is only an urban legend. There has never been a ship registered with such a name, in any records, anywhere. The stated years for the various reports are all over the place. The ship isn’t real, and none of this stuff actually ever happened. It’s just too great of a creepy and mysterious yarn to thoroughly die though. You should pull this video, Mr. Ballen. It may leave some questioning the veracity of all of your content.
ОтветитьCould it have been some toxic gas that makes you die in a really bad way?
ОтветитьI don't know if Mr. Ballen would see this comment or not, maybe it will be lost in the comments section, but
What if Mr. Ballen made a new version of all his old stories, with his amazing improvement in storytelling, what say you Mr. Ballen?
The way they describe the bodies, it seems like their muscles crisped up due to a form of nerve gas.
ОтветитьWeird 😮
ОтветитьNah its pretty much debunked . Btw, how funny is the fact the guy sent a message saying "I die". Like, there's this guy that's dying , and uses the last strength of his body on what I must assume would've been the herculean task of operating this machine to send a message, and the guy does it all basically for drama . Didn't pass any information that would help people make sense of it, no... He wrote in a way that would most fit a mystery narrative , and finished it with "I die" like a fucking Shakespeare character or something lol .
ОтветитьThe fact that it was colder down below might indicate chemicals.
ОтветитьIt sounds like the US Ourang came across a methane pocket somewhere and it suffocated everyone and then the gas got caught in the bowls of the ship cause it's heavier than air and then a spark of some sort ignited it and blew up the ship. That's my guess.
ОтветитьMaybe an odorless gas?
ОтветитьDead men tell no tales.
ОтветитьDark Pictures: Man of Medan 👌 Great game. I had to rewatch this video. In the game, it was a poisonous gas “manchurian gold” that was so toxic made them hallucinate and mysteriously die, looked like zombies. Idk if you game but Dark Pictures is a good horror adventure anthology series and a lot of them are based on true events or stories obviously exaggerated for dramatic effect but love the games 2/4 are militaristic. ❤
ОтветитьPerhaps, no records of the ship could just be a simple cover-up to hide whatever chemical or biological agent that killed the crew. And the explosion would have been intentional to bury the evidence of what the ship was carrying.
ОтветитьPoison gas mixed with hallucinogen
ОтветитьWait… you were a fucking SEAL?? Damn dude.. that’s not just something anybody can say. Good on you, buddy!
ОтветитьWasn't there a game based on this
ОтветитьThere’s no mention of this in the silver stars records.
ОтветитьPretty sure XFiles did an episode like this one. Nice.
ОтветитьSeems like there could be another explanation. Firstly, the Malacca straits are the most pirate infested waters in the world. It seems plausible to me that the Orang Medan could have been boarded by pirates who killed the crew and were the reason for the distress call. The crew of the silver star could have found the crew dead, decided to further plunder the ship and then sank it to cover their tracks.
ОтветитьThe Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish sailors must all have been on leave that day. 🙄
ОтветитьThe story is a hoax. Theres zero evidence it ever happened and the ship actually never existed. It was a fabricated piece written for a dutch newspaper, for some reason years later people started to circulate it as true.
ОтветитьAliens.
ОтветитьCyanide poisoning on board, gas killed whole crew and after attempts to move ship it caused hold to detonate. No surprise the ship wasn't registered if it was up to no good ferrying explosives about
ОтветитьThe ship in the picture, survey ship?
ОтветитьBro totally could've used a different voice to translate the Morse Code. Why'd he have to give us the what or?
Ответить40 deg Fahrenheit! On the straits of malacca?! In the boiler room?! wow
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI think a video game might have been made inspired by this story, called "Man of Medan"
ОтветитьPirate's
