DaVinci Resolve - COMPLETE Tutorial for Beginners!

I'm getting a few questions about what version I am using in this video, AND YES this is the FREE version of Davinci Resolve 👍(how is this awesome software FREE!?!?!)

If i have base resolutions of 1440p but I am setting my base resolution for recording in OBS to 1080p, but scaling the output to 1440p - what project settings would I use to edit that video to maintain it's quality and get the VP9 codec when I upload?

Would I want to pick 1440p since I had upscaled to 1440p and then also pick 1440p on my output to retain that VP9 with YT?

Great video..I have never used DaVinci and now I am 100% confident I can edit my first videos.

I can't find the "audio panel" though, double clicking doesn't make that come up. It does pull the audio in the preview area but doesn't make that window show - how do I turn that on?

When I first looked into this, I was disheartened and daunted by the amount of 'stuff' that I had to know. Of course, I also went in head-first without any tutorials. I was also told that this had a fairly steep learning curve to it. After this video, it was so much easier than I intially thought it would be. Thank you so much! (yeah, 3 years later, but still ... this was fantastic)

Hope you can solve a problem for me. When I bring my video into the Timeline and play it, the visual doesn't match the audio...which makes editing really tough. I can't figure out how to align them. How to fix this please? Love your stuff...and thanx in advance!

Wow. PHENOMENAL TUTORIAL. I've heard of DaVinci Resolve, but your video is the first exposure I've had to their interface. I use Premiere Pro almost daily, but I am going overseas and want to train others on how to use free video editing software. I just finished this video and I feel WELL EQUIPPED to download DaVinci and teach some of the basics to others. THANK YOU!!

I've Divanvci Resolve 18 and names of icons(Media, Edit, Cut, Color ) are not shgowing. is there any reason or do i need to change some setting?'

If I want to make a montage of a trip I went on that includes both pictures and videos, how would I go about adding the pictures and how long they are shown for? I try dragging the picture from the media box and it doesn't show it on the editing board.
