I can speak only for myself but I would be as comfortable among Marvels mutants as I am with humans. To me, they would be just another race and ethic group of the human family. Mystique is to me she is as beautiful as any other woman. Can't quite say it any other way, but blue is my favorite color. I met a lady working in a hospital, with blue scrubs and hair dyed the same shade of blue. I couldn't take my eyes off her.

What I like about this scene is how it describes Xavier's relationship with his mother in just a few strokes: mother who doesn't set foot in the kitchen (in the 40s, mind you). The photograph he glances at whith a physical space between them... all speak of a negletful, emotionally distant, perhaps uncaring mother.

This is such an emotional scene. We can see how even at such a young age when everyone else was afraid of mutants charles welcomed them despite knowing who they where and how dangerous they could be. He could truly understand them and use his powers for good. He was a true empath even without his powers. He had the power to see the good in people. Saw their fears rather than as dangerous people
