And now everyone and their grandma knows smoking is really bad for you, and we even have anti-smoking commercials with actual victims suffering from severe physical effects. Shields was ahead of her time advocating against smoking. Research just took time to catch up to her.

One the thing I'd like to say about Ms Brooke Shields. I'm not knocking her. She was gorgeous, a tremendous beauty.

Brooke Shields was a powerful and very feared Anti-smoking advocate As you can see in the video many, were trying to stop her campaign. She was forced to testify about it before congress because of all the opposition to - her - voicing the anti smoking message. Then a funny thing happened Brooke Shields started smoking. She didn't hide it either. She did it in numerous movies and TV shows aside from smoking in real life.
