I know its dumb, but after that fight I couldn't help but compare wings and boogie as lolcows, the winning metric being how interesting and/or entertaining their history is, and wings seems like the clear winner.

I also think despite it all (and speaking relative to each other), wings seems like he has the better life... Which tbh is probably exactly what boogie would want too (b/c higher victim status). Oddly complementary pairing, these two.

hot take: wings of redemption is not worse than like, 90% of people you will meet throughout your life. the difference is you have seen all of his stupid actions on the internet. somehow, that makes people feel morally entitled to harass him. but as with many of these lolcow stories, i just wish the people criticizing and laughing would simply take a look at the mirror or look at people IRL around them.

Wings is a failure because he gives up. He has no motivation or desire to be a better person or even try. He wants ppl to feel bad for him and everything handed to him. His mindset is killing him, he can't stay positive or overcome times that are tough. He falls back on what is easy or what he knows best which is self-pity. He's taught himself that over years and it's hard to break that habit but not impossible. He just needs to believe and push forward. He has unrealistic expectations and falls into the trap of "if I had this one thing my life would be better" and life doesn't work like that.
