I was a kid When I first heard this i only nlove it for the melody but now I'm in my 30' and life got me especially when my S.o left me despite everything I sacrificed.This song hits hard different.

Glad I found the person who cares about me. God damn she's annoying and bitchy. But my wife will go through hell and back with or for me. And honestly that's all I ever needed.

The strange thing, is that while most people attribute this to the loss of someone close, or the end of a relationship... part of me also attributes it to the loss of my dog "Athena"... I got her as a pup, barely 8wks old. for 13yrs I comforted her, protected her, worried for her... and occasionally laughed at something she did. Then, on May 11th, 2021.... I came home from work to find her down, and unresponsive... She'd been in this state once before and snapped out of it... but this time... she didn't. I rushed her to the vet... there was only one thing they could do for her. And it was the hardest choice I've ever had to make.

I was there for her. From a pup, all the way to the end. I heard her cry, I heard her bark, I've protected her, she protected me. She comforted me when I was sad, I comforted her when she was sad.

Two days later I met her successor, Artemis... and she leapt into my arms the moment she saw me. It was like she knew. I like to believe that... maybe the reason God took Athena... was so that I could give Artemis the home she deserved. I know Athena is in a better place now. Her Arthritis is gone, she's got all the energy she could want. Many from her old pack is there too.

She's gone.... but she'll never be forgotten.

I know not everyone shares this sentiment... but do keep in mind that our pets are part of the family too. Athena was no exception.

I lost my husband 44 days ago. Back then, I don't why he sang this, that was many years ago when we're not married yet. I never knew that I would listen this again after his funeral, I cried much. The pain is overbearing.

What in the hell is going on?! You are telling me that this song is 13 years old?! I know that I was alive in 2010 and concious of the music scene, but HOW did I miss this?! I was into the most indie, alternative, goth rock imaginable to man or woman! I simply blame MTV or any UK music channel for not airing this as it is definitely a top 10 song.

Truly a piece of art that will pass the test of time. People even in far future will still listen to this song, and NOT just for the sake of nostalgia
