All I can hear is the background noise of people talking 🤷♂️
ОтветитьThis is professionalism, pure and simple. It's a noble calling. I wish more young people understood the concept.
ОтветитьCORRECTION! It was NOT a miracle! He did his job.
ОтветитьIts already been said a million times aleady, but Jeff Skiles really is the ultimate unsung hero (and, it seems, a wonderful human) ❤
ОтветитьWhat a nice relaxed guy. Obviously highly trained. It must have been frustrating to try and offer some solution to the problem with an empty check list entry in the check book and everything original in context taking place around. I did wonder how much snatch happened when restrained by the seat belt and if it's full harness or lap restraint only. I hope your construction business is doing well. Cheers.
ОтветитьI like that he too had a cool head in this emergency. He didn’t panic he did what sully needed he’s been a captain himself.
ОтветитьMy right ear enjoyed this very much.
ОтветитьI wonder what decision first officer Skiles would of made, if he would of been captain.
ОтветитьThe miracles were nobody drowned, or succumbed to hypothermia, all the ferry captains came full speed to you, and the frogmen were deployed.
All that... and 155 or so souls made it home. No heart attacks, no strokes, no fights....
Class act
ОтветитьCame across this on YT, first time I've ever met the other man in the cockpit with Captain "Sully" Sullenberger that fateful day in January, but he seems like a very pleasant person and also an extremely competent pilot. Our names are almost identical, only mine comes with two "e"'s, but what they did in saving 155 lives on the Hudson river in NYC was and shall forever remain a quite remarkable achievement, with all best wishes from Canterbury, Kent, UK.
ОтветитьIn the film Scullyu someone askedJeff he would have done anything different that day he said yes be on a different plane very brave crew and air controller
ОтветитьMust have been a well-built aeroplane to get through all that
ОтветитьAbsolute hero.
ОтветитьThe Good Lord was in that Jump Seat. That is a fact.
ОтветитьDid the NTSB try to infer "pilot error" because it was theoretically possible to land back at the airport, if no allowance was given for check-lists and reaction times?
ОтветитьWhat a story, what a cool character, great sense of humour
ОтветитьExcellent! I would have been honored to be with your crew!!
Ответитьheroes
ОтветитьWow 😲
ОтветитьJet fuel is lighter than water. That’s why the wings floated.
ОтветитьGreat pilot. Great speaker.
ОтветитьHero!
ОтветитьI notice that there’s a lot of crowd noise as he is talking. Why aren’t people listening to him?
ОтветитьJeff, now we have the rest of the story and it is a GREAT STORY. You tell so well. Hats off.
ОтветитьThank you!
Story well told.
appreciate your hard work
What a flight.
Re
Naval Aviator Marines
The people in the background ignoring this great man is ruining this for me, what's wrong with people.
ОтветитьGreat talk.
What's the deal with all the background noise on a talk that is so important and informative ?
Sheesh, get a noise cancelling mike. On the other hand, sounds like an airline terminal.
Jeff Skiles great miraculously landing that Airbus in the Hudson ...all survived!
ОтветитьPlease check the sound of your video, because there is not any!
ОтветитьSo in place of returning this strangers borrowed knife to its rightful owner he threw it into the river??…..East Coast throw away culture…”meh, it’s someones else’s property,..I’ll just throw it in the river like its trash”
Don’t ever come to Oregon with that attitude, we assault people who treat our rivers & lands like trash.
The steering tiller is actually on both sides, incorrect info there.
ОтветитьYou were fortunate because your expertise and intelligence, but Miracles like this just don't just happen, God was there.
Ответить"You got any ideas"? "For flying, no...for dinner, anything".
ОтветитьSTOP FIDGETING
Ответитьwow he really did take us along in the right seat! literally cuz i can only hear the sound from my right speaker XD!
ОтветитьNo one talks about the geese who lost their lives in this event. Condolences to their family.
ОтветитьHaha, that's the Madison library for ya.
ОтветитьThis guy is way more humble than Sully in telling this story.
ОтветитьPoor birds - all died!
ОтветитьNever heard of this man until today . It’s always sully . It’s been what , 15 years now ?
Ответить"How did you keep the plane from stalling?" Well, I hate to say it, but it's not like the engines were gonna suffer MORE from losing air...
ОтветитьCan we have Quiet plz ffs
ОтветитьI had thought that Cpt Sully flipped on the APU straight after the realisation of dual engine failure.
ОтветитьExcellent discussion of your experience. I know this is a good thing to do and I got to vicariously experience your Miracle on the Hudson.
ОтветитьThe part I don't get is, it was this man turn to fly, but sully tulk,,,,over 🤔 no disrespect at all??
ОтветитьAF 447 needed these guys for their pilots
