Thank you, thank you, thank you for so strongly promoting the need for diversity in the future of AI ❤️🔥 I started really empowered to enter into UX design research, and didn't even get started before I was completely derailed and stamped down. I really worry about how the gamergate phenomenon has reshaped the view and treatment of women based on my personal experiences. Watching something like this helps me not give up, but reapproach more cautiously. Thank you!
ОтветитьI am a lot more worried about AI "response" poisoning than I am about data poisoning ... Remember Schumer, Schiff and the Department of Truth?
ОтветитьThe thing I've got from video is "there's a shortage of cybersecurity professionals but since we don't want to spend a lot of money on hiring new people (and even if we want it's only PHD's) we're gonna do with AI.
ОтветитьWe aren't expecting a CEO or GM of a multi billion dollar company to come and say AI will take over your jobs,
Are we ?
It aucks
ОтветитьIf your clever youl be using AI and leveraging it for your cves. AI codes explotes at will if you ask it correctly.
ОтветитьLove how he glossed over and then side-stepped the question concerning AI coming for a multitude of tech jobs. "Human judgment is going to be important for the foreseeable future.. I am completely wide-eyed.. every human on the planet needs to be secured.. we need people from multiple backgrounds.. We need more people from a liberal arts background.." All of that (and more) is complete aversion to the question.
ОтветитьNice interesting discussion and good to hear about AI and CISCO talking about Integrated Platform. Similar to this, SOPHOS has their "Synchronous Security" making use of AI in correlating huge data across all their products/solutions with a single tool for management.
ОтветитьOh, no! Security is not diverse!!! Security can never be secure until it’s securely diverse!
ОтветитьVery insightful chat. I think AI pattern analysis will do great in favor of security.
Ответитьmandate un controllo per prenderlo in flagrante!
ОтветитьThere is no workforce shortage. There is, however, a shortage of businesses willing to mitigate that "shortage" by rapidly upskilling existing employees to meet their skills demands. Don't complain when they leave to work at another company, INCENTIVISE RETAINING THEM! Try rewarding staff who upskill, not just by giving them an existing job, but by offering more than you'd pay an external hire.
ОтветитьGuest from 🇹🇹 ?
ОтветитьGreat session
ОтветитьHe is the definition of a hypocrite. Cisco doesn't have a an answer for vulnerable SSL VPN ON PORT 443 GETTING HACKED DAILY 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThey tried to replace my security analyst role with AI.😂😂😂...IT DOESN'T WORK
ОтветитьMy company needs 10 security analyst asap
ОтветитьCisco bought splunk. Now I see why
ОтветитьJust because they have a cert doesn’t mean they have experience. Just remember that.
Ответитьi just wonder down the road will AI tools innately be better at offense or defense? if it ends up being better at offense than defense we end up in a world where no network can be secured.
ОтветитьAND
Just like that everyone in this field was replaced, for little to no cost compared to hiring fulltime employees vs an AI.
I'm glad I was able to work in SOC for awhile before this replaced me, Its nearly impossible to find a job in cybersecurity TODAY but now that door has been shut forever........
RIP
Everyone in cybersecurity............
AI MEETS CYBERSECURITY
ОтветитьI thought AI can't take over network and cybersecurity, but I'm wrong. This video has proven that
ОтветитьWhat kind of AI skills are needed ?
ОтветитьWishing you a Happy New Year!.
ОтветитьUniversity of Michigan Data Science Ethics
ОтветитьIt'll be Ai vs Ai
ОтветитьDidn't Cisco just fire 4000 employees
Ответитьso basically getting my ba in cyber security was a waste of time?
ОтветитьThis corporate speak is so tiresome. How is it bad that the industry is dominated by males with a passion for technology?
ОтветитьHello experts
I want to start my career in cyber security but i need some counseling supports. where i can did get started. I would like to take cyber security online classes. Yes, i have an option for multiple short courses by Cisco or etc for entry-level but i think this field doesn't worth for short course trainings. I have a full time job and i love to learn this field by online.
Kindly please guide me road map and appreciate your guidance.
AI and cybersecurity will be a interesting topic from here on out.
ОтветитьI’m in the cyber security field I have a Google and ibm but no body is hiring who have no experience how do I get experience if I don’t get hired it’s a catch 21
ОтветитьThought this was Why Files when the intro music started
ОтветитьI think humanity's biggest mistake in the technological era, invention of cars on forward, has been to rush into anything and everything without considering the cons and consequences. Even now, we can't even convince some boomers and Karens of greenhouse effects and longterm impacts or PTEs and their environmental devastion.
ОтветитьSome points are ok and valid, but frankly also lots of bs and sales talk. Cisco have never been good with designing interfaces, quite the opposite. CSM is to this date the only semi good design. Lot's of bugs.. 4000+ or something like that over 10 years, but still Cisco's best interface. FMC have been and still is some of the worst design and interface in the Industry seen from an everyday proactive usage standpoint. Cisco optimise not for fast and effective usage, but for being consultant friendly (slow workflow). I honestly think that this idea of bringing people in from various fields can be good, but ONLY if they have 20+ years experience in working with firewalls and security or related technical field. Else these people have no clue of what is going on! I see it often, younger people "28-38 years" coming from an academic "security" education and 1 - 2 years experience as pentester/analytic in some smart ass consultant company, and when they land in a serious job they totally fails is seeing the most obvious things to someone with 20+ years experience. It is a huge problem itself that non technical people get into this field of work in my opinion. AI will not solve this in a "secure" and responsible manner if the people building it think that the internet is something magical. (just an example).
ОтветитьMore like the next step in security, it will always be a race, only from now on it will be AI against AI
ОтветитьGreat content 🎉
ОтветитьGreat informative interview. The future is AI + cybersecurity. But Don’t forget AI can also act as loophole to our security to maintain that we need cybersecurity professionals as guards so keep in mind AI can never replace cybersecurity! Who all agree this ? :)
ОтветитьPeople are blocking the growth of the field, but it’s happening everywhere. They think “why should I hire someone who’s not an expert?” Experts don’t just exist, they are forged, if you don’t want to forge your experts you are bound to try and find them, thus the problem we are in now
ОтветитьVery informative, Great job David.
ОтветитьMe: I want to transition into cybersecurity
AI: I already took your job
@davidbombal, is studying security becoming useless then? The demand will drop significantly for security engineers
ОтветитьSmartedufy offers a number of free AI cyber courses..AI combined with data science will be the future of all the sector..
ОтветитьThank you so much David
It's great informative vedio on hot topic AI
So does this mean studying cloud computing or cloud security or ai programming would be better and more in demand in the years to come?
ОтветитьThere aren't enough security experts not because of gate keeping, but because it's hard. You have to have a broad range of knowledge and technical understanding. That's why it pays well.
