What about the first SECOND of the universe?
Sounds a bit too quick -but the universe operated on the quantum/planck scale. Something like an attosecond where if it was a second not a billionth the time has elapsed for today's universe in a real second. This epoch was in a burning burst of matter and energy expanding outwards, but so are we...
I had a dream of it once. Perhaps the universe was tweaked by its first life in that instant to form in ways life could survive. More for them as there are tons of Brown Dwarf planets and Jupiter ones - the dense superfluid, superconductive Liquid Metallic Hydrogen cores could house energy beings for at least trillions of years. They could then push forward in time to live in these cold nearly glacial states.
Likewise the hot, short lived lifeforms we are could transform or create either long lived computers around black holes and beings made of gas to live in a much colder, lower energy universe. There was a neat cool OMNI on this back in the 80s.
This is fascinating... The more apparent the complexity of the universe becomes, the more I believe in an intelligent creator
ОтветитьThis is stepping into the realm of fantasy more than science. Even so, I am glad this video has interested many people in these fun and thought provoking topics. I must say that Kurzgesagt's videos about the medical field are much more credible and well written than their scientific videos.
ОтветитьI think that the alien duck art is cute.
ОтветитьI love how Kurzgesagt choses a few set of characters and uses them throughout the story. It really adds to the dynamic of the animation.
ОтветитьI am actually mindblown by this idea that life could have formed so early, and essentially 'be everywhere'. It would imply even a teeming universe could have life essentially from the same origin, which I think is truly fascinating
ОтветитьI still think the idea of the big bang is stupid. It doesn’t make sense
ОтветитьCarol and chera are punks! I'll put you in jail carol! Your not scary!
ОтветитьWe all know of the primordial, but who will be given the mantel of responsibility!?
ОтветитьI tried buying the calendar twice last year and I never got it
ОтветитьI enjoy watching this. I never realized that the universe was once warm enough to sustain life on many worlds in the past. So it’s called the Goldilocks universe. Sounds inspiring.
Ответитьthe only way to verify if this whole thing has any merit is of the genome evolutionary clock theory’s first simple “base” genome matched up with the same time as the universe would’ve been habitable
ОтветитьSo if we launch our microorganisms form earth into space, earth’s life could live forever on other planets?
ОтветитьUaps are probably such a lifeform.
I'm going to guess that consciousness is life and consciousness is everywhere
Interesting theory. It brings up some pretty interesting mathematical questions even if the theory itself turns out to be completely wrong.
ОтветитьCope, atheists.
ОтветитьSince all alien life is not the same with age and how they are technical, Wonder how really intelligent extraterrestrial species will be if we're ever possibly approached by them
ОтветитьSounds like porting a poverty of stimuli theory to biology. It’s a weak theory in linguistics, and weak here.
Ответитьso we are aliens and to imagine that our ancestor went through so many trial and error to make us is amazing
ОтветитьHumanity started as viruses, and we will end as 'viruses.'
Ответитьimagine the Big Bang AS a lifeform. It has no sentience or will, it just goes around constantly shitting out bits of the universe for no reason at all. "God" some might call it. LOL.
ОтветитьGod did it. Problem solved 😂
ОтветитьThis theory could work: imagine gas giants puffed up by the surrounding temperature to allow globules of water to float freely at geostationary orbit at one atmosphere pressure. The gas giant’s magnetic field would protect fledgling life floating around in those conditions in the young universe.
ОтветитьIf the universe was as warm as kerzgesagt said in its early time, not counting radiation and lack of oxygen, could you have just floated around in it without a space suit?
ОтветитьNow THIS is a fine-tuned universe!
Ответитьthat theory suggests, earth was seeded with simple life forms by unknown source and evolve eventually. was actually pretty interesting.
ОтветитьOk that's actually a really interesting premise
ОтветитьMitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell
ОтветитьThe Fermi Paradox: Haha, no.
ОтветитьI love how the video ends with “let’s go find out!” Despite the channel having several videos that go over why we shouldn’t fine out
ОтветитьMicrobial universe.
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьAnother weak video, barely explaining the theory.
You guys have really gone to crap for years now. Why did I even give this video a chance. At least it wasn't nihilistic garbage like most other Kurzgesagt videos.
Kurzgesagt is gradually becoming the only good thing on the internet.
ОтветитьHave you ever considered that the genome was intelligently designed?
New life lore just dropped
ОтветитьThank you for another fascinating episode. The backwards calculation of a potential early origin for life is particularly interesting. Having said that, as you mentioned, there is a great deal of speculation in this. Still, it was a wondrous thought experiment all the same.
God be with you out there everybody. ✝️ :)
This channel is amazing.
ОтветитьBlah blah blah
ОтветитьSo Mark Zuckerberg isn't the only alien?
ОтветитьI've been losing some lust for this channel in the last 1~2 years but this video... Oh yeah.
Not only is this an idea i've never heard of or tought about, it's also absolutely plausible and even likely tyo be true, and it completely changes the "are we alone in space" game.
Now I actually think that yea, there's probably life everywhere in the universe, when before I actually tought life was a planet earth exclusive thing
I love it. I love it so much. There was a time when I was so depressed, I tried to end myself. Tried to in this consciousness, but I didnt. Because of the story, "The Cosmic Egg," from this very channel. Some people find hope in religion, others in sports, or exercise. I found hope in this channel, and that wonderful story. So as cheesy and cringey as it may sound, thank you Kurzgesagt, for saving this single consciousness from the eternal nothing, and allowing me to experience the gift of existence a littke while longer.
