The LED lights that I bought does this three strobe thing 3 times and stops. Really helps when I back up.
Funnily enough, I almost wasn’t able to renew the car’s registration because of the newfangled light, but I explained its feature and gave me a pass.
Neat!
PS: I use my turn signals.
Made one with 2 555 timers and a MOSFET in high school and put it on my 2000 Forester. Sold the car with the backup alarm and 3 horns
ОтветитьI'm sorry but there is clearly effort put into this video, which I appreciated and enjoyed. A+ for video, F- for attempting to make no effort.
ОтветитьI am jealous of your Nissan figaro
ОтветитьHalf the drivers on the road are worse than the average driver! LOL
ОтветитьJust get @AgingWheels to hook up two small spotlights on your bumper connected to the same reverse circuit you were talking about. I get it, you shouldn't HAVE to do that, but it DOES create another good collab opportunity.
ОтветитьMy Kia EV6 makes the same sound as your Hyundai, and having only heard it from inside the car, I'd wondered what it sounded like outside. Thanks!
ОтветитьPretty sure you took the No out of No effort november here. Try softer next time
ОтветитьI remember as a kid, the family '85 Supra had a back up tone, which I totally remember from memory. Not just simple beeps, but a full jingle. I think it was internal only and can't really be heard from outside.
ОтветитьAll hail Glorbus.
ОтветитьHa ha no effort and reverse noise. Perfect combo because they both suck! Yet I will end up watching the whole darn video! Lol😂
ОтветитьI hope a pinball video is in the works!
ОтветитьI work in traffic control and I agree with @GilyGuy. Pretty much every concrete truck i have dealt with for the last 3-4 years has had the white noise variant of a reverse alarm. Hopefully the trend continues and spreads as they are WAAAAY less irritating, and the sound doesn't seem to propagate as far. Which, again, lowers the overall irritating nature of these very useful safety devices.
ОтветитьWhy would you not have your reverse light? Be a spotlight next to your backup cam
ОтветитьHad a reverse beeper on my truck but it had a strange behaviour, if you turn on your headlights or even parkers the reverse beeper wouldn't work!
This was very handy when I had finished work late and backing my truck into my suburban driveway and not annoying my neighbours....
I suspect that the beepers positive connection was wired to the reverse light and the negative wired to the positive wire of the parker lights, this way, if reverse gear is engaged while the parker lights are on, the beeper gets two positives and won't turn on! When the parker lights are of, the reverse beeper gets it's ground through the parker light bulbs which must have not been enough to light them.... Keep in mind that being a truck it's a 24V system with 24V globe's, possibly due to the higher resistance of the globe's, the beeper is probably sourcing it's ground across the two or more bulbs.....
I don't know who came up with the idea! But whenever I needed to reverse quietly, I just had to turn on the parkers and presto! Incognito mode! It was brilliant!
This might not work with led type globe's especially if they don't have the load resistor....
I know you'll appriciate this comment - it is NOT science that half of drivers are worse than the average driver. you mean the median, not average.
between one kid and ten old men only the one kid is below the average age...
Very backward thinking video! Love it.
ОтветитьHalf of drivers are worse than the median driver, not necessarily the average.
ОтветитьThat unhinged intro had me ROTFL literally. 🤣
