Loved how this turned out!
The hiding place for the remote is pure evil. Who would do such a thing to their husband? 😂
And how come your clamps made a popping sound? 🤔 I serched everywhere for these but cant find them😂😂😂
From someone who has never made a bookcase in her life- why do you use plywood instead of walnut or what have you for the whole thing? Is it just a money thing?
ОтветитьThat was great! thanks!
ОтветитьWas anyone else expecting Drew in a dress?
ОтветитьFrom lumber he stole from his neighbors garage ;)
ОтветитьI just wanted to build a bookshelf but man, this guy's sponsor is so humble I have to watch more of his videos.
ОтветитьGood ply at Home Depot? Where is that? Every one ive seen has horrendous ply
ОтветитьAs I watched the video, u really sound like Jerry rig everything 🤣👍
ОтветитьAm I just crazy, or is this guy insanely unsafe using his table saw?
ОтветитьYour friend needs to know that she SHOULDN'T TAKE any instructions from you on the use of the table saw, that is for sure!!!!
ОтветитьGreat video
Love your humor
So much fun seeing your channel get even better over time. Love the trick getting the walnut in the finger slot on the drawer. Genius!
ОтветитьMakes me think of therussianbadger’s “I’d like to thank today’s sponsor: ME”. Well designed website and well designed bookshelf
ОтветитьHow to build a simple book shelf…. First build a $250,000 woodwork shop + tools, then buy cheap materials and get to work. Easy.
ОтветитьWhat tool did you use for the holes for shelves
Ответитьgreat job.. a whole lot of crap 💩 too.. 😂. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
ОтветитьWhoa! "Cheap materials?" I saw where you went. Neither the orange store nor the blue store sell "cheap materials" any longer.
ОтветитьI have done woodworking off and on since highschool. Recently retired. I have the same Ridgid drill/driver set.
About a year ago, I stopped using the driver for things like pocket holes. I prefer using the drill, and adjusting the clutch to about 60 or so to prevent stripping screws. I will adjust the clutch torque until I hit the correct setting.
My partner and I watched this tonight, love the sarcasm so much. We then had a debate if you were an engineer or not... so. Had to go to your site hoping for the information, we were both wrong.......sorta. Depending if it was computer engineering 😂😂. My partners words “you know whether you do woodworking or not if you are having a bad day, you could watch him and know you could get a smile on your face and feel better” so Thank you. ❤ ohh your the unnecessary walnut is very necessary, my mouth drops every video on how effortless you make it look to make beautiful pieces.
ОтветитьWay to go with that jigsaw! I always make a horrible mess and my accuracy sucks.
ОтветитьLooks neat.
ОтветитьRemember 8’ truck beds??
Ahh it was a better time
For the hidden drawer could you not have attached that panel directly to the drawer, rather than having to remove it first? That would give you a handle of sorts too.
ОтветитьThe secret drawer was a stroke of genius. The whole thing looks really nice. Thanks for sharing.
Ответитьvery nice!
ОтветитьI always love your videos. Great stuff. This was a fun simple project. Love that you had her help with the build.
ОтветитьGoals
ОтветитьYou spread the glue with your fingers just fine, but then you are supposed to wipe your fingers on the underside of your workbench...fail! Hope to see you do more with your laser soon.
Ответитьthat half circle of walnut to round out the drawer pull is pure Fisher ingenuity. Great video as usual
ОтветитьHey Drew! Thanks for the content sir. Always fun to see your humor and skills in action. I got a real cheap book case that is literally falling apart. It’s grown into a “book shelf and cycle riding gear” storage area. I think I could do this and actually make something way better than that crummy item I bought long ago. Thanks!!
ОтветитьThe tip of the temporary fence is great! I’ve had issues with pocket holes and screwing in the board and having it move on me. Can’t wait to try it out. Thanks!
Ответить“Holy crap! I think you sent that one down into China.” 😂
ОтветитьLOVE that you had an "amateur" assistant! That really showed how achievable this is by anyone! Great job as always Drew!
ОтветитьGreat project. Answers some questions for a project that's half finished in my shop!!!
ОтветитьThat’s hilarious Drew. I’ve done that sponsored by the Hinkle shop in my videos joke as well. Awesome project. Great job my friend.
ОтветитьI fully agree that the shop owner is the most humble ever! Wicket must be the greatest boss ever!
ОтветитьI see the remote was cleverly disguised as peppermint bark. Just what I’d expect from people who spread glue with their fingers!
ОтветитьMarking the boards with parts of your body that need to lose weight was a hilarious comment. Your sense of humor definitely adds to the enjoyment of these videos. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
Ответитьyou both inspire and intimidate me "CRAP"
ОтветитьLove your humour!
ОтветитьTop marks for your sponsor and how nice he is! I hope the sponsorship was generous! Great video Drew.
ОтветитьBest woodworking videos out there. Love your humor. Thank you!
ОтветитьAs always Drew...nice job. Quick question, sort of off topic....what year is your Tundra? How do you like it?
ОтветитьSheet of 3/4 plywood at hy Home Depot.....84 dollars. At my local lumber dealer.....50 (for much higher quality plywood)
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьThis was my first video ever, when I did not skipped the sponsorship ad.
ОтветитьI wouldn't use an impact driver for pocket screws. This is what your drill and clutch are for. Start the clutch off at the low end and work your way up to the best depth.
The driver is for large screws or no pilot hole fastening (self tapping screws.
It must be a good bookcase. Even the cat liked it.
