During a raid on General M. Bison's (Raul Julia) headquarters, Colonel William F. Guile (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and Bison finally face off against each other.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Based on the popular video game Street Fighter II, Street Fighter stars Jean-Claude Van Damme as Col. Guile, the cocky but brave leader of an Allied Nations fighting force. When the evil General Bison (Raul Julia), the power-mad leader of Shadaloo, kidnaps a bus full of Allied Nations relief workers and holds them for a multi-billion dollar ransom, Guile and his team are sent in to do battle with Bison; aiding Guile is intrepid TV journalist Chun-Li (Ming-Na Wen), while a pair of con men (Damian Chapa and Byron Mann) try to play both sides against the middle for their own purposes. Raul Julia died of cancer shortly before the film was released.

From what the director said, Van Damme was absolutely coked out of his mind the entire time they were filming. He spent most of his time lifting weights & snorting coke.

Considering Van Damme filmed drunk and Julia would come to the set straight after dialisis from stage 4 cancer 😭 they made magic and this film is a masterpiece

Raul Julia made M Bison performance on shakesperian level and why not.
ОтветитьThe stuntmen were very impressed with Raul like most people said he was dying of cancer. The stunt team said he did all of the close up fighting scenes.

I know this movie was hated. I watched the first time I thought it was bad. I gave another shot and I thought it was not to bad. I love this fight as well. Jean-Claude Van Damme is my second favorite action actor I put Jason Statham as my favorite action actor.

Van damme with a iconic thick accent with an American Tattoo and fake blonde slick backed hair which is literally the opposite of guiles famous flat top hair cut is just too funny. This is the best worst movie about a game I have ever seen.
