As a static light, looks like it could be fine, but those effects are downright awful. The "candle light" looked more like you were standing behind a car with its hazard lights on.

Have had a couple of GVM LED panels for a few years now. Can adjust color temp and intensity. They have performed very well for me.

I have a few of these that l purchased off Amazon mine all came as yours did. I believe you can use the Allen key to loosen and adjust the arca swiss plate location. Don’t quote me on that though, I don’t have them in front of me at the moment.

While I love LEDs for ease of use especially dialing in color there are significant drawbacks for still photos when compared with strobes. I would love for everyone to see the differences, pros and cons.

How can I shoot with flash and LEDs? My flash always over power the LEDs causing the loss of the RGB coloring

I personally do NOT want a built in battery. I've had the GVM tube lights with built in battery and when something went wrong with the battery, GVM told me to find a local 'electronics repair' shop to have them fixed... even though they were under a year old. With these Chinese companies, warranty repair/replacement can be an issue. That said, these tube lights look a fair bit better than the ones I bought. Nice construction, but the buttons still look rather cheap. Oh, and the only color accuracy rating that should be used is SSI... the others are antiquated.

I would love to see a long exposure with the light swinging in the background. I would worry this particular light's batteries might go flying off if the light is swung about. Any recommendations for a simple light stick that could be swung about?

btw, the plate looks adjustable, so you could move it to the center of gravity?
