I haven’t tried shrooms yet but all of this noticing things you wouldn’t normally notice and being more empathetic etc sounds exactly how I feel when I smoke weed. I’m not a huge weed fan only because I start getting too many dark thoughts but I always get way more agreeable and empathetic when stoned and I tend to noticed things I’d never even think of not stoned lol

All the benefits of the various psychedelics aren't known, and might not all ever be. I personally found DMT and psilocybin to be the, I suppose most easily "accessible" and beneficial of the commonest psychedelics would be right to say. Peyote was useful but I found the experience to be the most difficult of them, best dried and ground and rolled into 1/2" honey-water dough balls, then sun-dried. Swallowed along with a milkshake, 4-6 of them worked for me. If you smoke dried peyote, you're an idiot (I was, once). In terms of "easiest access of experience" I would personally recommend DMT, psilocybin, LSD, and [Peyote/other cactus/mescaline] in that order, beginning with a progressive micro-dosing to approach best personal experience gradually and safely. In my day, dosing of DMT was a function of how much the undergraduate organic chemist @ CalTech happened to put in the waste organics from THC extraction of the cannabis plants (more bang for the starving student buck). Thus, DMT "joints" for a twenty minute rocket ship ride of an intense pleasure of experience. Not he average pleasure-faire of 15-16 year olds, but having acquaintances in the dorms was quite helpful!

YMMV, use with caution, and IMHO best experienced with close friends of like mind. I don't hold the record for light years of internalized neural traveling experience, but gave it my best! Thanks, I can't have enough Joe and he goes so well with the first cup in the morning.👍

P. S. - If you're on the north shore of Oahu near Dillingham Airfield and go from the parking area inland towards the trees be careful once you reach the shade that you don't step in the cow-pies or waste the thousands of mushrooms. Back in the day [~45 years], a hefty trashbag full of about 20-25 pounds weight took an hour to pick with 4-5 people. A LOT more time if you ate while picking, of course.
