I understand it would be nonsensical like comparing a Camry to a BMW. But I'm wondering how these sound heads up against the Polk Reserve line. Obviously, the Polks are magnitudes better, but are also a lot lot lot more expensive. But from everything I've read about these, they perform crazy above their price. I have a Jamo cart with 803, 809, 83, & Atmos = $792. One with R200s, r300, r500x2, r900x1 = $3311. The Polk cart is $2519 more, and I'm betting the Polks while a lot better are nowhere near $2.5k better. If I end up going Jamo I could add a Sony A90J 65" and compared to if I went Polk I'd still have enough $$$ left for a decent lunch and a few IPA's at the brewery.

The value of these speakers seems almost too good. Andrew's opening statement in the video has me wondering if I could be happy with these over the Reserves. I know my lady would be happy lol.

I am really confused between Jamo s809 and polk XT60, Which one is a better pick between the two. I will add a subwoofer anyways.

My first pair of floor standing speakers were the Onkyo SKF-4800. Picked them up for like $250 for the pair. I’ve since upgraded and passed them along to family, but they are still great and lovely to listen to when I visit despite now having a much more up market setup.

Purchased the Jamo s-809 towers and a Cambridge audio AXr85 and I'm very impressed with Everything about both. The AXr85 is clean British sound. Matched with the Jamo S-809 speakers(which I had doubts about) is just freaking awesome in my small living room. I Purchased a pair of $1,000 speakers a few years past and mated them with a tube amp and the clarity and sound stage of the Cambridge and Jamo is nothing but outstanding. The thing I love most about the pairing,no fatigue at all. Loud, intelligible and punchy!!!!

I really love the entertainment cabinet below the TV screen. Can I ask the make and model?

Hi
I'm about to change my tower speakers ...but u don't know what to choose because now I'm lack of space for another pair.... I still have a TDL RTL3 tower from 1992 and they good but I need something smaller so I was thinking about jamo s803 or q acoustic 3030i which will do better to watching movies in Dolby Atmos

late to the game as usual. Just saw these and they ATMOS topper and I like the looks. Currently running 3.1-ch stereo with (old 2004) Infinity Primus 262 towers (2-way, 3-driver) and powered sub. the S809 + the ATMOS topper would look great and get my sound up higher than the Infinity Primus. Matching center channel (as always) would round out the front stage as I don't have/use rear channels. Plus the integrated design of the ATMOS topper speaker would round out the look. Powered by a Marantz 1610 slim...cheers

Would you recommend theses over the Polk XT70's for strictly playing music in a medium sized room

I auditioned a paid of Monitor Audio Bronze 500 towers last week (available for £599 at the moment) and was absolutely blown away by them. They will in all likelihood be the last speakers I ever buy.

I bet my Kenwood KR-6030 receiver can put heavy base through them. It has a loudness switch and 80 Watts per channel

I purchased the Jamo S 809 Towers based on your review, I also purchased the Jamo Center, Surround and Sub Woofer to complete my surround sound system. I have had this system for about a year and these speakers have opened up and the sound is awesome. My system is powered by a Denon 2700 AV Receiver and a Samsui SR-929 Turntable (which I purchased back in 1978 while stationed in Germany. Thank you for your in depth reviews of AV Equipment
