Hey guys, one annoying mistake I made was that I said Simon Bolivar was Colombian. He was actually from Venezuela. My bad!

Every day as a teenager my parents would turn on the news and I would see the on going hunt for this evil man so when this show came out I definitely watched it brought back a lot of memories.

We all knew, but it felt so good to watch each episode and swear you were watching something so falsely authentic.😏

As a brazilian, I can tell that Wagner Moura (the actor who play Pablo Escobar) was brazilian too. To someone who speaks portuguese as a first language, spanish sounds very square; Moura's spanish is very round and it reminded me of my mother's, who is brazilian, spanish.

I would say season three was way more accurate to real events because thats pretty much how that went down and except for a few oversights and filling in narrative blanks it was exactly what happened when they took down the Cali cartel...
If you do a review of that season I'd love it!...
Narcos Mexico is a good show but it goes back to fictional characters except for what happened to DeA agent Kiki Camarena and the main players in the Sinaloa and Tijuana cartels

There was so much death at that time, SO much fear. I was very young when it was happening, but I remember friends crying because their uncle was kidnapped or their parents were killed. My mom was almost killed during a gun fight between cartels. My dad’s cousin was killed by the bomb that was in flight 203. My older sisters all said they barely could set afoot outside our house because everyone was so afraid they’d die because of a car bomb or kidnapped. It’s felt even to this day…even if we go to a “safe city” outside of Colombia you just have this constant fear that anything will jump at you and try to do you harm.
