I always cook with A little oil or butter no matter the pan, wish I could afford Hex-Clad pans
ОтветитьMost people aren't cooking without oil, spray or butter.
ОтветитьJust ordered some of the pans can’t wait to get them . But expensive 🤦♀️
ОтветитьHi guys, Mark with a K from the UK here. Those spray oils ruin non stick pans and you’re using a tonne of it. I’m not sure what my point was as I’m on holiday and had 3 vodkas. Anyway, fab video as alway 😂
ОтветитьI use the Ninja Foodi Deluxe cookware, and wonder if it matters for those 🤔
ОтветитьOne year test, barely noticable.
Great info, but I'd be interested in a 3 and 5 year test..(as I type you said next year, so yeah 👍)
not much of a test when both pans are used differently throughout their ownership and wore down at a different rate... Too many variables to make a conclusion from this test
ОтветитьSpray oil has ingredients besides cooking oil that will render any pan nonstick, including stainless steel pans.
ОтветитьHand wash all my pans , regardless. Non-aerosol avacdo spray to coat the pan. I've been using high quality stainless steel for years and they still look and perform like new. Learning curves and patience are instrumental in maintaining pans to optimal performance and longevity.
ОтветитьI'm team Jamie: if it says it can go in the dishwasher, it will go in the dishwasher. And I'm team butter when cooking eggs. Nice work!
ОтветитьNever put your pans in the dishwasher.. don’t care what they say.. home dishwashers leave soapy film on your pans!! It’s a good way to get diarrhea
ОтветитьI think the differences would only become noticeable after years of almost daily use. For an average kitchen, probably doesn't matter much. Good test!
ОтветитьIf you're going to pil the pan anyway, why would you buy nonstick? Well cared for cast iron is nonstick.
ОтветитьFrom what I understand, Hexclad has changed its non-stick coating recently because of potential toxicity issues. It did so quietly possibly to avert calls by previous purchasers to recall and replace their product with the upgraded version. I would urge anyone to contact Hexclad directly and seek some clarification on these issues with these pots and pans. Update: Hexclad replaced it's original PTFE ladened coating with ceramic.
