I think she's the perfect example of someone who really uses her voice like an instrument- and one that's completely under her control! I was blown away when I saw her on Begin Again.

I love Lena Park. A few years ago she sang a duet 'I Dream' on a show called Fantastic Duo and it was even more amazing. Worth watching <3

AHHHHH I'm so glad you posted this! I was the one on patreon who commented that she has a Killing Voice 😊 Obv you can tell she's AMAZING, but another fun element of her technique that is v apparent when you know Korean is that she often takes a lot of creative freedom with the vowels & consonants---like a cursive singer but in the most tasteful way LOL. & like someone mentioned below, she often doesn't sing a song the same way twice, and it applies to how she pronounces words as well. I know this is not super unique to her, but it is refreshing to hear it from a singer who's more than good enough to justify singing however she wants to feel in that moment 😂

Lena Park is basically the R&B goddess of Korea. Her technique is amazing but I'm more amazed of her musicianship. She's one of those singers who deeply knows her voice and perfectly understands how it works. Every note she produces has a clear intention, she's not just plainly singing.
My absolute favourite of hers is her rendition of Vincent, specifically when she sang it in Begin Again 2. Just an absolute masterpiece.

Lena is such a powerhouse I've always lived her singing! You'd love Park Ki Young's Killing Voice she's another great singer 🙏

so happy to see lena park on this channel 🙏this sent me down a rabbit hole of watching old live clips from her debut/early era ('98-'02) and other rising vocalists at the time (park hyoshin, kim bumsoo, hwayobi, gummy, naul etc)

No kpop idol main vocalists can beat her prime time(10-15 years ago) live performance. Never ever.

I also met Lena Park and other Korean singers from Begin again2, I fell in love with her voice and the emotion she pours into her performances, Havisham, My Way, If, which I met before the Bread version, and above all her version of "Someones like you" is fantastic!!!! Thanks You Tube for allowing us to know all the music from wherever it comes from. And Lena Park, my total admiration, I'm your fan.💐💐
