Speaking from my own experience as an asian american, we're not gate keeping people from our community, we're just awkward and shy most of the time and maybe some of us doesn't know how to make people feel included but it's not personal! Sometimes culture also does play a big role as well. For example i've never felt truly included because im too asian for my american friends and too white for my asian friends.
