ОтветитьIsn't codec a portmanteau of coder/decoder?
ОтветитьGreat job. Now I get it.
ОтветитьLife saving tutorial.
ОтветитьCodec is a portmanteau of Coder/Decoder. Not Compressor/Decompressor.
ОтветитьOMG after all these years. I finally understand it. Thank you!
ОтветитьHoly cannoli, this was one of the best videos I’ve seen on this subject. So detailed yet so comprehensible. Thank youuuuu!
ОтветитьThank you for this video.
Just a clarification, on a Canon camera while recording, All-i is the intra frame and IPB is the inter frame compression?
Learnt allot ...Thanks B&H
ОтветитьSuper helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьCan I use one codec for encoding and another one for decoding same data ?
ОтветитьHaving studied (spend..) 2 years video editing to find out in a 8 min video the meaning of Codecs...
ОтветитьTHE ONLY CODEC I USE IS QUICKTIME PRORES 4444
ОтветитьMy media encoder won’t connect to my animate cc and for the life of me I can’t figure out why
ОтветитьCodec does not stand for compressor/de-compressor. It stands for (en)coder-decoder. Conceptually, you're correct. But not etymologically.
ОтветитьSimply a brilliant use of video
ОтветитьWhat is the Abbreviation/full form of ProRes?
ОтветитьAwesome explanation! Thank you!!
Ответитьwow so helpful !
ОтветитьOMG , very clear ! Thank you
ОтветитьAny recommendation of book to study codecs from video editor's perspective?
ОтветитьWho else is here from miss Irma's class
ОтветитьGreat video! Thanks.
ОтветитьReal nice and illuminating explanation
ОтветитьThis video is definitely a good example of how to make an informative video: good script, informative, plenty of visuals, and good editing. 👍
Thanks.
If content creators had the same hability to handle quite complex subjects for newbies I wouldn't be watching this video
ОтветитьSOOO Helpful. Thank you !
Ответитьvery informative and quick explanation on codec. Thank you :)
ОтветитьGood thanks
Ответитьjust summed up half my semester in 8 minutes thanks!
ОтветитьThat amazing, good video. Thanks
ОтветитьI am sorry to say this explanation is wrong, chroma subsampling uses 8 pixels to recreate image in YCbCr representation not 4.
ОтветитьGood and basic information but the subsampling part is a bit confusing.
Ответитьgreat tutorial!
ОтветитьThere's a mistake in the video where you explain 12 bit color. 12 bits total; 4 per red, green, blue channel gives 4096 unique colors. 12 bits per channel gives about 68 billion colors.
