I started eating this Sardar pav bhaji since 1982 onwards,the rate was Rs 2,75 paisa bhaji and two bread,now that taste has disappeared, during those days also there was lot's of crowd and police taking hafta as well ..but now it's costly and a mess also..I wouldn't appreciate it.😎

O.K. let me tell you the real story of Pau Bhaji. Pau Bhaji was literally invented in Prarthna samaj area, Bombay, outside Harkisandas Hospital footpath, on a cart, around 1968 by a man called Machinder. His business used to start at 9 pm to 2 am, for 5 hours only. He started this business for night time taxi drivers and last show movie goers. There were 2 types of bhajis, first was the one you are eating right now of Alu, Tomato, onion and green peas priced 50 paisa with 2 pau for 10 paisa extra. The second was called mixed bhaji, (which is completely forgotten nowadays), made of all sorts of vegetables like bhindi, bengan etc. etc.
of course with alu, tomato, onion and green peas priced 60 paisa with 2 paus for 10 paisa extra. Around end of 1969 the pappads of shaggddi's were introduced to be eaten with pau bhaji, if you will, at 10 paisa each. There was nothing like butter in the bhaji. But there was butter, on demand, in 2 paus at 10 more paisa extra. And now almost 200 rupees for bhaji added to butter (not butter added to bhaji). And not butter applied on paus, But paus drowned in butter. And no pappads to accompany. Real Bull Shit. You are not eating pau bhaji, you are drinking butter.

It WAS really very good one, till it belonged to original owner ! Then it was overtaken by ........, & Sorry to say better to avoid than having "religion" spiked food

In my first visit to Mumbai, I travelled so many kilometres just to eat this. This is overhyped and no need to travel long distance to eat this.

Third class pao bhaji .Stomach pain after eating it in the evening.I visited from delhi and tried pao bhaji totally waste of time and third class taste.

I don't know which type of pav bhaji is this !! i mean the main ingredients of pav bhaji are missing just like green peas & Capsicum 🙄 and still he's overcharging people..
I'm also from Mumbai & in mumbai you can get pavbhaji to rs.70 to 100

भाई ये पाव भाजी कम बटाटा टमाटो भाजी लग रही है.. इसमे हरा मटर और शिमला मिरच तो डाली ही नही जो की पावभाजी की जाण है ?
और price भी डबल है 70 से 80 रूपे मे पावभाजी मिलती है और ओ भी टेस्टी loot चालू है

mumbai mai rehke agar mai marathi logo ke haath ka khana chhod ke bahar wale logo ke haath ka bana hua khana khau toh mere liye doob marne ki baat hai

i was here a few months back. The pav bhaaji is garbage. Pure garbage. You can't tast anything other than grease. We ordered one without the butter on top, and asked for no butter on the pav too. Without the extra butter, the pav bhaaji was actually good. This isn't about calories. This is about drowning the flavor of bhaaji in butter.

Its yummy no doubt,but eat it once in a while not regularly
