AYO remember the mid-late 2010s when Knuckle Puck, State Champs, and Real Friends were taking over pop-punk? Let’s go back to a time JUST beyond then; when the midwest-emo revival was only beginning to fill the innovative void with an entirely nu sound that would take the scene by storm! Free Throw, Hot Mulligan, Belmont, and Arm’s Length are leading the charge of emo-revival; three of which I’ve been observing and seeing live for (crazily enough) nearly a decade, and the last of which I believe is spearheading a whole new direction in emo.
