I have zero experience, so this might be stupid, but I have seen some info about donkeys being pretty good at challenging predators very energetically. I hear they are cheap too, and their behavior is instinctive, so there is no question of training. The real relevance is that they are not liable to go chasing the predator, so if the dogs get lured away, the donkey would still be around the herd, because they eat about what the herd does anyway.
One caution, I think you might best start with a young donkey that grows up with your herd and gets bonded. They are territorial.

We are still 95 to 100 daytime and 81 at night. Nice to watch the dogs doing thier jobs.

Get yourself a tent hunting blind, a 22 rifle with a cheaper night vision scope and take the coyotes out. Because if they have the taste of blood they will be back. A night vision spotting scope might be nice also. But that’s the only way you’re going to get rid of them damn coyotes.

Why do people likke yourself own cats , you obviously dont care at all about them, and why dont you own a rifle to shoot the coyotes. Get with it .

Unfortunately my dogs would chase horses and elk.

A group of coyotes is called a band and donkeys are really really good at keeping Coyotes out but it's hard to train them to put up with dogs so you really have to pick one or the other

Coyotes travel in packs & will devastate herds overnight.

A Friend had two goat pastures side by side with 2 Anatolians, ( 1 who roamed both areas) ...The coyotes separated & hit the 2nd pasture when both guard dogs were with 1st herd, grabbed 4 goat's utter, (pulled out rumen & intestines.)
So they combined both together in one pasture. No problem since.

Also a ranch 20 mi away had huge white tail fawn population wiped out over a few weeks. Trapper ended up getting over 200 coyotes using snares.

If you put mentholatum on the duck's neck area, the others will ignore it because of the taste/smell.
