I'm using Bitdefender Internet Security

They have good protection but their customer support sucks. I bought Bitdefender Total Security yesterday and according to them I haven't paid for it! Even though the money has been taken out of my account! Isent them on email explaining to them my situation and what they did is send my a link to activate Bitdefender Total Security. I emailed them back telling them that I don't have their product to activate. I also told them to either fix it or give me a refund. This isn't the first time I've had trouble with bitdefender when purchasing their antivirus. My advice is to use their free antivirus but avoid buying their other products. Bitdefender has great protection but treats their customers poorly

good on windows totally useless on android ,i uninstalled after a few hours

Asks to remove malware bytes which I am not going to and also my virus software again not worth the trouble feel my normal stuff has protected me thus far

I have Been using k7 antivirus for more than 7 years, best free antivirus for me. also am thinking it is very safe and secure app.

Bitdefender is one of the most intrusive applications I've ever tried to use. It's as annoyingly nagging as Corel products, even with a minimal version installed. I had to uninstall; wasted $20.

A lot of people think defender is great, but I don’t see it. I agree with the bit defender recommendation. Kapersky is good as well.

Thanks Brain. I have about 10 days left on my Norton 360 and I’m getting ready to switch to this free bit-defender. I was paying for things I did not or couldn’t use with Norton. Their vpn did not work on my local library’s public Wi-Fi. They blocked it and I never used the black web monitoring feature because I already have one. Silly me, I wasted money for a whole year and they’re always trying to get you to buy more things.

Not only is windows Defender "not the best" it is also the easiest for any HAX3R worth his salt to disable permanently with a simple script that can edit the registry to make it non-existent.

Bitdefender free and Kaspersky cloud free gives a good level of protection to home users. Someone who understands computer security well can easily live safely with a free version of antivirus.

Free down load of a Trial is NOT FREE. These Antivir companies are Snakes. They even have a hand in making the stuff they claim to protect you from.

The only free anti-virus you'll need is Kaspersky. It offers more features for free, it's lighter on the system and does a better job at protecting your PC. Yes, I know. The founder is Russian, the main headquarter is located in Moscow, but the company is international. You can always go to their transparency centers to get the source code.

What can I do to get a firewall that will work with BitDefender?

Kaspersky Total Security is way better. Most importantly its efficient on the system.

Does win 11 need an antivirus programm?

This program, along with Malwarebytes premium is my choice.

I HATE it when something is advertised as "free", yet it's got features locked behind a paywall. There's so much of that out there like that and I HATE when they do that! It's like the internet has forgotten what the word free is supposed to mean. Free is supposed to mean that you never have to pay for anything, if there are features locked behind a paywall, then it's not technically free is it?

Watching the video again and all the disabled features I can hardly say its a good choice. Moreover opening my full version of total security the VPN feature is a joke, allowing only 200MB of transferred data per day, asking for extra payment for a full VPN feature. This is my big complain.

I've been using free antiviruses for ages , till 2011 when I got a corporate full edition of ******** in my hands that kept me safe for years, untill windows 10 denied to run it. So I tried 2 brands and ended up with Bitdefender for 3rd year now, total security, paid for 5 machines. No more free versions for me ever again

That would be Windows defender. All the rest are not required as it is ransomware, not viruses you next to look out for.

Question by 2025 when windows 10 support ends would it be safer to use a full suit antivirus? What are the risks of using windows 10 after expiry if you using a full antivirus package if any? Fantastic channel your voice is calming content is brilliantly put together keep up the good work.

Thanks for this video..but when you install BD. ..what happens with the already installed Windows Defender ? it should be tuned off ! In the video no word about this ...never use 2 Antivirus programs !

Brian would you recommend turn off some features of windows defender to go along with the free version of Bitdefender or turn off every feature of windows defender and go only with the free version of Bitdefender? If it is the first choice what features would you keep on?
Note: I want the best way to have the best security possible but i also want to leave some performance for games

I tried 3 times to install it on Win 10, but each time it was done the user interface would not come up. There was no way to log in. It showed in task manger, using a lot of disc resources for a long time. Back to Avira, I guess.

The only thing you need is Windows Defender + UBlock Origin + Common sense to only download from trusted sites,. that's it.

I have been using Bitdefender for years. I knew they stopped the free version a short while back. I was not aware they had put out a new version of it. This is good news. Some people may need their commercial version and it is top notch, but the free version is all most people will need.

Just remember folks, no antivirus can protect you from yourself. If you choose to visit sketchy sites, you will get infected. If so, it is your own fault.

This thing will hijack your PC... it's OK for someone who's not computer literate... You can't even shut it off for starters.
