its weird i see this video cos im a first time player and i found a water tower and i built my base on top of it.. firstly so zombies cant get up, but also cos it had water inside (i didnt realise it runs out) - i built a huge base on top.. but i noticed zombies keep damaging the water tower, so was worried it would collapse.. so i built a huge fort at its base with a moat around it.. but then zombies kept digging thru the land under my fort.. so i basically concreted in the entire fort area so even if they break thru its just pure concrete... then i put down wood spikes everywhere.. in the moat outside the moat.. im on day 49 now.. i get almost no damage from zombies so far.. they mostly die on spikes.. takes like an entire day every week though for making new spikes, cutting trees, replanting trees & placing traps.. i also built a huge escape staircase from the top of my base to the ground.. it kept collapsing so i had to build it with many pillars of concrete.. it was supposed to be an escape route but it proved much quicker to get into my base than my main entrance thru the fort and the ladder.. i noticed zombies kept trying to climb up my stairs.. they waste most of the night trying to climb my stairs and falling off.. taking fall damage and then walking thru spikes to get back to the stairs.. i just sit in safety (apart from birds) and shoot them from my base... day 42 the only damage i got to my base was half damage to the top concrete block at the top of my staircase...
