A lot of your were asking for this tutorial in the previous video, and it just so happened it was already in the works, so I hope you enjoy and make a beautiful blouse for yourself! Happy Sewing!
ОтветитьI have recently gotten back to into sewing and wanted an easy top to make so I chose the floral one. It was the first time I drafted my own pattern. I am so happy with the result. Thank you so much. Watching from Melbourne, Australia.
ОтветитьFeel so comfortable listening to you and taking your guidance. Your such a blessing...it goes far beyond sewing :)
ОтветитьCouldn't this be made into a dress? I would like to try it for my Operation Christmas Child dress for an older girl. Next year I am looking forward to participating in Dress A Girl, too.
ОтветитьIs it necessary to use bias tape or can I use a length wise cut of fabric to do the neckline?
ОтветитьI absolutely love this pattern.. it saves all the hassle out of shoulder seam issues and it's so versatile. Such a good tutorial that I come back to ❤
ОтветитьHi I like ur style
ОтветитьHi Alisa! I have made 2 of these tops with lightweight woven fabric & I love them! Thank you so much for your time and teaching!. Two questions: 1) I have some lightweight knit I'd like to make a top from (Polyester/Rayon/Spandex Jersey Knit). Will this pattern work easily with that or is there another tutorial that you have that would be better suited for this fabric? I have a bad habit of using fabric that is not suited for a pattern and make things much harder than they ought to be!!! 2) I saw a sleeveless summer top tutorial that you did a while ago and now I can't find it. You were wearing a pink/black/white floral pattern fabric . Any thoughts on what it might be?
ОтветитьCan this top be made with quilting cotton? Also, do you have printable instructions for this top? I am having trouble finding it.
ОтветитьI am a beginner to sewing, and have a question about the sleeve marking. My bust is 48.5", so I divided that by 4 and came up with 12.1" for the top of my rectangle. Then, I measured the bottom of the base of my neck to where I want my sleeve to end, and that is 12". My sleeve doesn't measure beyond my bust measurement which is the largest measurement that I have for the bust, waist and hips. I am confused at this point where I should place my measurement for the arm. In the video, yours is longer than the measurement that you demonstrate. Could anyone help me with this question. Thank you
ОтветитьI love this idea, but I need a Full Bust Adjustment so not sure whether this would end up too baggy at the neck for me
ОтветитьI love how explanatory your videos are. You make being creative look so easy. love your work❤😢😅😊
ОтветитьI made it! But man, it was only easy-sh! I am a beginner and I, perhaps unwisely, chose a gauze fabric. I thought that I should avoid 'slippery' fabrics, but gauze was a little too shreddy. But I LEARNED SO MUCH and for that I am truly grateful. I wound up having to cut off the original bias-tape neckline (due to the shredding--plus I have a second hand sewing machine that sometimes doesn't make tight stitches), but then just made an interfacing neck and stitched it a bazillion times. I used a button to close the little keyhole in front and, not having elastic, let the arm holes flap, for now. Might do another button detail on the sleeves or add elastic later. I am very pleased with the outcome and feel greater confidence in my stitchery! Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you! This is a wonderful easy pattern.🥰
Ответить👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьWhere's the tutorial for the key hole tie
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьHello from Singapore! Loved your channel!
ОтветитьPerfect lesson 👌👌 ..As well, I would like to know this Overclock machine...please give me more details...
ОтветитьI am always nervous about choosing the right pattern to suit the fabric.
ОтветитьNice top! What fabric are you using? It’s gorgeous.
ОтветитьI’m soooo glad I found your channel. Everyone else confused me so much! But you explain in a way where it just clicks! Thanks so much!
ОтветитьFor the floral, slot neck blouse, how do you turn the corner at the bottom of the slot? Had several tries on spare fabric and can't work it out. Do I need to cut a keyhole there also? It looked like that was not the case, just a straight 3 inch cut earlier in the video. I can't get the bias tape to turn a 180. Is there a little trick of some sort?
ОтветитьHow can I make a long sleeved version of this???
ОтветитьI LOVE this blouse!! I will certainly be making one for myself! Thank You!! :)
ОтветитьI enjoyed your video for this Princess Blouse. How can I access the instruction sheets for this project?
ОтветитьWonderful video and very good explanation .
It makes sewing so easy👌👏💐
I drafted this and made a mock up. I'm having trouble with the 1" bias tape. I swear yours looks bigger. I end up with 1/4" on each side when I'm done. Is that correct or did I miss a measurement??? I am thinking that 1/2 of the tape goes on each side when you are turning it over and top stitching? or do you turn it so that the seam is at the top and the 1/2" goes to the front?
ОтветитьLove your teaching techniques.
Keep up good work 👏
I can't wait to try this!! It looks super easy and comfortable!
ОтветитьThank you for all the trouble you take and the detailed explanations. I think you are a really nice person....so don't worry about the negative comments. I am sure for every harsh comment there are numerous great ones. 🍻 👏
ОтветитьReally beautiful & very neat blouses 👍👍👍 of course I'll follow that .
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHow’d you learn this????
ОтветитьHi im chiel from philippines
is your facebook page is free to join??
Could the same process … measurements and drafting … be used for toddlers and children? I’m thinking using elastic in the neckline bias tape.
ОтветитьYou have the absolutely BEST tutorials! Thanks for all that you do
ОтветитьThank you so much for these videos. I made this top tonight, great fit and with your video easy to make. I have only started sewing for myself again recently and have only ever used commercial patterns but I have always struggled getting a good fit and have been disappointed with my results never looking like the picture.
You make sewing fun again, thank you 😀
Make blouse
ОтветитьThank you for all your videos. They are very educational! I learn a lot from you. Thank you!! How do we become a member? Thanks
ОтветитьHello Alisa, thank you for all your good pattern. I have a question regarding this one. My hips are 52" so 1/4 is 13". The measurments for my sleeve from base of neck to elbow is 12". I cannot add this, should it be substracted then?
ОтветитьI had an exiting start on this project only to come to a complete stop half way through bc my upper bust area had too much fabric. Sigh. Maybe this is not the best pattern for someone with a larger bust? Feeling a little defeated here. Not sure how to fix the extra puffiness above my bust 🤨😅
ОтветитьSuper cute tops
Ответитьhello do you sell clothes online.
ОтветитьFantastic tutorial. Except so fast. Please slow down and give me time to absorb what you are saying.
ОтветитьThis was fantastic I made one myself today
ОтветитьLook beautiful and easy
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьThese instructions worked put to a ‘T’ ! I drafted a beautiful perfect pattern that fits incredibly well and I’m plus-sized! You are an amazing teacher Alisa!
