Man i can get my starter to spin outside of the vehicle. But still a single click when trying to crank installed. Going to clean up all the contacts on the starter and try again
ОтветитьI have a 98 gs300 with the problem of the one click. I have power and checked battery was fine but I don’t hear that clicking noise coming from the relay I don’t want replace it and not the starter so idk which one to do first bc I thought it was the starter
ОтветитьCan you explain further how to turn the turn it by hand like where do youbgrab onto
ОтветитьWhat if the car doesn't even click?
ОтветитьDUDE. U SAVED MY ASS!!!! IVE BEEN ON HERE FLIPPING Thru VIDEOS FOR AN HOUR.
ОтветитьSo question. My car takes a while to crank. I noticed my dash flashes a bit when trying to turning on the car. Sometimes the car clicks and then it dies. I jiggle the battery and the car powers back up and then I start it and it turns on. Could it be the battery?
Also the battery hasn’t been changed in a long time.
I get the same one click, but when I slightly turn the engine over manually with a wrench a few times the car starts right up. What does that mean? Bad starter? Starter to close to flywheel?
ОтветитьMy click is way less noisy. It's also more than 1 occasionally. Probably a charge issue.
ОтветитьNothing is working the lights go on and off they are very bright when they come on and they go off when I push on the wires under the steering column
ОтветитьI have a 1996 Ford Ranger and by what you said in this video my battery may be the problem. thanks for the right-to-the-point video.
ОтветитьHave you had a new starter do the same thing?
ОтветитьWhat is the name of the part your finger is on at :53
ОтветитьYou are so helpful. Thank GOD.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьSolid. Stands up still in 2023.
ОтветитьThank you so much for being straight to the point!! So much great information, I’m subscribing to your channel 😊
ОтветитьCAN ALSO BE A CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR !!!
ОтветитьMost helpful video out here
ОтветитьNot sure if anyone can help with this. I recently had my starter motor replaced old one was making a whirling noise grinding like hell. Working all fine until all of a sudden it stops (FYI should mention the issue first arrived when I was replacing my coolant expansion tank and did not secure a loose pipe which caused some coolant to seap into the engine bay) I hear a single click when I turn the key (I assume the relay) but nothing more. Few hours go by troubleshooting and more testing jacking the car up to potentially finding a culprit and not finding anything all off a sudden the motor is working again. Almost 2 months later same thing happens again. Couple of days later messed about with the battery’s connection and suddenly the starter works again.
I could be stupid and this could be a case of corrosion causing the problem but it seems to inconsistent for it to be that any advice would be great!!
Check for the most obvious and simple first! I had installed a new battery 6 months prior. Now all I heard was a fast clicking sound. A jump start worded but seem to not hold a charge. The + and - had no corrosion and showed the battery terminal protector paste to prevent corrosion. However went checking the cable connection I was able to slightly wiggle the cable on the + side. The bold felt tight, so I used a wrench to really force the bold till the cable connection on the battery would not move at all. Next stated the car without any issue.
ОтветитьSo what does it mean when it gets the fast clicks?
ОтветитьGreat breakdown. Super helpful.
Ответить[if, anything fails I, take it to the dealership]
ОтветитьI just put a new starter in my car yet it still clicks every once in a while or has a runaway starter
ОтветитьThanks a lot for the explanation. My car had this faster clicks. Time to change the battery.
ОтветитьI got the one click all I did was get a wrench or screw driver turn the key to on touch jump whatever you want to call it the two bolts on the relay selonoid and the truck will start
ОтветитьGood idea.
ОтветитьSo what's it mean if I changed the starter and it still only does 1 click
ОтветитьThis helped confirm my issue, a bad starter. But, it's a new starter. Like you said at the end, make sure you have a good warranty.
ОтветитьSo I’m having a clicking problem with my 2004 Honda accord ex 2.4l I’m getting multiple clicks but it starts rite up , 9-10 times it doesn’t and makes this weird eletric sound but then I turn the key and turn back and it starts
ОтветитьI have mine plugged up to jumper cables. Wouldn't work all day(at my house) and I got mad and tried the key like 8 times and it worked.
ОтветитьThanks. Thats exactly what’s happening with my car.
ОтветитьHoly smokes! I think you just solved what's wrong with my motorcycle. The battery is brand new and everything lights up BUT the bike won't turn over. Instead, it's making the rapid "clicking sound" you mentioned which makes me suspect that it's the relay, not the starter. I already ordered the starter, and it's not hard to put in, so I will swap them both out.
ОтветитьKia was driving park and won’t turn over tried to put in N did not want to move lights turn on radio works but car won’t start kia forte 2010
ОтветитьI also have this click sound but my battery fuse is blown what to do stater or fuse
ОтветитьThe problem I have is, 90 f150 I have the battery charged, the key is off when I hook up the negative post the motor cranks. I think if the key would be on it would start.. because of the fuel pump. Can you tell me what is wrong.
ОтветитьVery helpful
ОтветитьIt's 5 degrees here, the truck started with the jump kit yesterday (barely) but it was like 10 degrees... I ran the truck a long time yesterday but today its only rapid clicks.
ОтветитьI gotta go to work but this had to happend befor anything
ОтветитьWhat’s if you just replaced the starter?
Ответитьso what if my car made the noise you made for the battery but it was when i accelerated and it shut off after
ОтветитьI've listened to a few of videos about this issue and yours was the first that was direct and descriptive for me to understand. I normally don't comment but I appreciated your video.
ОтветитьFor future reference. If the video starts with a "what's up guys so I was at Walmart..." They don't have the solution just the same problem. Thanks for going straight to the troubleshooting tips man 🙏
Ответитьwhat, no life story 😂Thank you sir.
ОтветитьAnyone know if the starter passes a bench test if it can still be faulty enough to cause a no crank no start issue? I get one click upon key turn. No crank and no other starter noises. I've load tested battery. All good. I'll be testing the electrical connectors with a test light next. Just curious if this is even possible
ОтветитьThis video helped. Thanks a lot!
Ответить☝️🎉thank s Hass
ОтветитьStraight to the point and no life story. You are the MAN!!!
