Years before we had kids, my husband and I had a lot of pets. One was an African Grey named Poco. Poco loved me and would regurgitate food and try to feed it to me. He would talk perfectly in my husband's voice. He could say "Shiver me timbers!" and "Birds can talk. Can you fly" and other saying that sounded exactly like my husband's deep, deep voice. LOL.

I feel like in a Star Wars movie, when the robots are communicating :)

I have 2 Indian ring necks and they don’t say a lot I’m talking to them all the time and I show them bird videos of different birds talking and making noises like gizmo and bloop do, I spend time with them as well Im starting to think I’m doing something wrong or something I have had them since 2019 or 2020 they say some words just not many

Gizmo so funny and so is blue bird. It funny how they having this full conversation with each other.

It is seriously crazy how these birds can make all those vocalizations...and do them pretty much exactly the same each time....including pitch and tone.

The only experience of birds I have is poultry. Not very communicative. But can parrots be taught to associate objects with words, eg show them a slice of apple and say ‘apple’ and they can tell you they’d like some apple?…. And can they be housetrained? Unlike Booster Rooster….

Aww. Even knowing that parrots and their relative species are excellent at mimicking human speech, while not necessarily knowing the meaning of the words (other than general context), all this speech is surprisingly apt and really funny. It is as if I were visiting one of my funniest friends and listening to his updated commentary to the current situation. Hilarious. 😂😂😆😆
