The statue figure looks like a Hansel from the American 1930's Hansel and Gretel cartoon.

Ответить"Deep in her heart, Janine is also a maker." 😆 Love the banter between your team! Thanks for showing us your shop
ОтветитьYou know that scene from wall-e.. where he has a rotating junk collection storage thing to easily find the stuff he's looking for. I feel like that would be perfect for your miscellaneous shop section
ОтветитьSo Many cool ideas, but OMG the cocktail station for oil blew my mind!!

ОтветитьI would feel very comfortable hanging out in your shop! I'm an organization freak but it only makes sense to me. I do think I need a neon room now tho...
ОтветитьI loved this whole video, especially embracing the multi-part map on the side including the carpet, and all the marker squiggles as part of the graphics. So much content is just here is the perfect, the flawless; you embrace the "didn't go as planned" with such grace and joy at the discovery. Your enthusiasm is wonderful and always makes me smile. Thank you for sharing all of this with us!
ОтветитьI get the key of my first shop in 4 weeks and I can't wait!! This is some good inspiration. ❤️
Ответитьthank you very mach, your truely workshop, it's giving me a grue of efforts.
ОтветитьI have the same problem with deep storage, I do a cull and then regret getting rid of some of said cull, because I need them.
ОтветитьAs long as you know where to find things, it doesn't matter whether your shop is clean or dirty. It's yours!
ОтветитьIf CNC isn't your thing there's no shame in that. If it doesn't make you happy you don't need it in your life :)
Good luck and fun with everything. Your work and attitude are inspiring.
With regards to having too many materials: I ask myself if i'm realistically going to use it in the next 5 or 10 years. If the answer is no, i make the difficult decision to sell it or donate it because yes it's cool but i can't use everything in a lifetime and maybe someone else can make something even cooler out of it. Maybe someone's been looking for exactly that part and i've just been uselessly hoarding it.

ОтветитьLaura, do you like your home or your workshop better? Would you be able to live in your workshop for an extended period of time if you had to?
ОтветитьProbably the most therapeutic video I’ve ever watched. I am a 78 year old maker, hobbyist, that always felt guilty for many, many years about my shop. Until today. Now that I’ve and heard your honest shop-talk and tour I am at peace. At times I have felt the same way as you when you said you just wanted to burn that one room. (That gave me goose bumps) The evolving shop is normal? My God I’m normal??? Thank you so much for showing the failed projects, which I also have, and call the “Fairbrother Flaws”. I’m so thankful to have stumbled upon your channel and gotten a new friend. Now I can binge and not cringe, lol.
ОтветитьVerrätst Du uns irgrndwann, was mit dem Horsebox-Minicamper passiert ist? Der fing doch so toll an und jetzt oxidiert er vor sich hin.
ОтветитьAs a bartender I love that you have optic dispensers for your cleaning products 😂😂 I would love to be able to do what you do Laura 🙏
ОтветитьI just subscribed . Wow I love your shop. You have just about everything.. So so cool. I love love that light switch. I dont have a leatherman lol. I cant wait to watch all your vids.. You are so cool. Take Care
