ОтветитьBanzai! 👊😤
ОтветитьWhat class....what a people....such honor.....BANZAI....BANZAI....BANZAI..
ОтветитьMeh something really doesn’t feel right about this. I just imagine all the Russians and Chinese civilians that were tortured as a result of the meaning behind the chant. Feels very similar to someone yelling “Heil Hitler!” This chant comes from earlier history but wasn’t popular until the rise of Imperial Japan before WW2.
ОтветитьGoosebump
ОтветитьBack in the old days, Banzai was the common phrase used by suicide soldiers.
ОтветитьWhat the hell are ppl taking here. Banzai is the imperial period salute during the imperial Japan era. It is close to sieg heil of Nazi Germany has to the us day been remembered as so by other Asian countries. It is absolute bone-chilling and disgusting for those ppl who have suffered to hear. Go read some history.

ОтветитьTrust me if american world war 2 veterans here this im sure he have a flash backs memories of some 20 thousands japanese charging toward them and shouting Banzai
ОтветитьPeople try to literally translate "Banzai" when it's context that matters.. The term was broadly introduced in the Meiji era and military prop@ganda, so ofc it is not just "long live the emperor", it holds nationalist nuance. There are few exceptions but generally it's not embraced by everyone. I don't see everyone clapping in the crowd either...

ОтветитьNot a single gaijin knows jack shit about the Japanese language nor about its culture in the comment section lol
ОтветитьI was dissapointed in Japan when I found out they still had an emperor. I hope not many people in Japan care about their royal family, as people all over the world care about the British royal family. I just hate monarchies and think they're the most outdated and useless things to hold on to.
ОтветитьDude shouting is such a soapbox moment, keep ridin you earn nothing than self made satisfaction
ОтветитьI wonder what the emperor amd citizens thought of that surprise shout
ОтветитьThese banzai information is wrong and misunderstood.
In Japan, banzai is commonly used for celebrating purpose.
Banzai its selfs meaning is “hooray” or “yay” or something related to that, used for celebrating something. And it doesn’t mean “long live” nor “ten thousand years” .
BUT, when person, country, something related to that and banzai were put together, the meaning of banzai will change and become the “long live”. But still, it doesn’t become “ten thousand years”.
So if Tenno heika and banzai are put together, it will become “long live the emperor”. If Nippon(Japan) and banzai are put together, it will become “long live the Japan.
Most people here are just judging banzai meaning by each part of it’s kanji. Which is totally wrong way to know the real meaning of it’s word.
Imagine shouting “TEN THOUSAND YEARS!” On celebrations instead of “HORRAY!”.

ОтветитьJaps are finally growing some balls
Ответитьpeople in the comments section seem to have forgotten it was the same BANZAI that brought WWII to asia and killed 4 Million US and Allied soldiers and 26 million civilians. These US or Asian soldiers could be your grandparent, or great grandparents. Hailing BANZAI in Asia is like Hailing Hitler in Europe and Saluting Bin Laden in US. The positivities and good feelings to BANZAI in this video is unfathomably disgusting. ASIA NEVER FORGETS
ОтветитьThe most beautiful and dignified blue blood on the planet. These two are pure class !
ОтветитьOldest monarchy still in service on the planet, in oldest nation on the planet. Now that's impressive !
ОтветитьIt actually means "Ten Thousand Years of Happiness" although technically it translates as "Ten Thousand Years" and is derived from the same phrase that was saluted to the Emperor of China starting in about the Tang Dynasty around the year 619. It is exclusively used for the Emperor and was used by China, Korea, Vietnam, and Japan. Since only Japan has the only surviving Imperial Family and Emperor of the four nations, it is used sparingly for the Emperor of Japan in modern day.
ОтветитьLOL banzi! We are having jap barbeque again?😂😂😂
ОтветитьWhy are we letting the Japanese do this shit exactly? are we trying to urge them to start a new empire???
