same thing happened at JFK today.   this time the JetBlue flight landed just feet from hitting Caribbean 526. 

That camera angle makes it look pretty dramatic but according to the authorities the planes were .6 miles (3,168 feet) apart.

I will never forget, as a student, my instructor telling me to "ALWAYS look both ways when crossing a runway, REGARDLESS of ground control giving you clearance to do so." One looks both ways when crossing roads, you also look both ways when crossing a runway. Airline pilots become complacent in many ways because they are always relying on ATC and the insulated, keep-eyes-in-the-cockpit world of IFR flight.

How can this happen nowadays? Shame on everyone involved.

That stupid pilot, they are careless and stupid. You must look both ways left and right when crossing intersection and when you don't familiar with the airport you can contact the tower before taxing cross to runway. They already fail on the lowest SOP as pilot. . .

i was in the norwegien flight D85691 from DVK to BCN on june 8th 2016. Something similar happened to my flight as while almost landing the plane suddenly went back up and the pilot said there was a plane on the runaway! I am scandalized that this keeps on happening and that the workers at the airport are not more careful!

I understand there are safety precautions and minimum distances planes have to be apart, Especially on a runway.. But to be completely honest, It doesn't look like they would have collided at all. The Argentinian flight would have crossed the runway before the Russian flight touched down, At least from the view of the camera.

I've flown on the Argentinian plane

The name of the airline is called AEROLÍNEAS ARGENTINAS and not Argentina Airlines. Is it impossible for someone who speaks English to read in Español, Portuguese, French or Italian?!

That airport seems poorly designed with runways overlapping like that. It's easy to get confused.
