Why did Nomos not center that power reserve? Its oddly placed.
ОтветитьWhy do you never talk about Bell & Ross?☺️
ОтветитьHello Teddy, I just started my watch collection, I have a couple Longines Hidroquest, Captain Cook Omega DeVille prestige, I'm getting ready to buy my next watch. My budget is between 5k and 10k I want a complication watch like a moon face. Possibly a world timer. The one you professional opinion. I'm a big fan of your videos and I'd like to get an opinion from someone like yourself. Hope to hear from you
ОтветитьGreat video. Agree with the Tudor GMT as being a great watch. I sold my Rolex GMT Master 2 shortly after I bought Tudor GMT.
ОтветитьI happened across an Aquaracer GMT recently and it blew me away. I'm not a big fan of the aquaracers looks but this thing is outrageous and it will be my next watch. The bezel is simply amazing
ОтветитьGood to see you’re not hanging out with that FTX fraud any more.
ОтветитьThe only two segments here where Tudor did not get mentioned were only because otherwise it would just be a clean sweep "Tudor is awesome" video, and certainly Tudor have everyday and dress offerings where are outstanding as well, all with in-house movements at this price point. I do think Omega is a step up (with price commensurately well beyond the $4K price point) but I there are several brands that do not impress at prices well above that of comparable Tudors. Anything costing twice the price of the BB Chrono with the same base movement, for example. Rolexification of that movement (silicon hairspring and free sprung balance wheel with four adjustable masses) one could argue, make it better than the B01 that it's based upon. Perhaps Teddy, you could do videos for "3 or 4 watch collections from same brand" rather than price based? My own collection includes the same 1926 you like with linen dial and blue hands, (bought on bracelet and swapped to brown strap and clasp), BB Chrono, BB Root beer GMT, with the BB Ceramic as fourth and most recent add.
ОтветитьOK Teddy boy, I got 4k to burn so let's see what your offering up.
ОтветитьMy 40th birthday is coming up soon. I wanted a Rolex but as we all know it’s impossible to get. I set aside $15k max. Can you give suggestions on every category below $15k. Thanks.
ОтветитьI want one a tudor but my wrist is sknny
ОтветитьAgree Tudor GMT Pepsi amazing and case thickness just adds to the heft and quality feel - love mine 🎉
ОтветитьTudor is great,I have a tudor 1926
ОтветитьMy every day, every situation watch is my Tudor P01. Solid steel bezel, 200m water resist, beautiful domed sapphire…
If I leave the house with no clue what I’ll be doing for the day, I grab my P01. I know that no matter what I get in to, it can take the beating.
This man deserves over a million subs. He’s incredibly knowledgeable with great delivery and high end production quality, bravo.
Ответитьteddy you should show the watch on your wrist at the beginning of each video
ОтветитьTudor may have a great movement at a great price, but damn, you've seen one, you've seen em all...
ОтветитьOris is just so overpriced.
Took them somewhat more seriously 20 years ago, but they had so many quality issues in the interim.
The aesthetics of Nomos are a complete no-go for me. I’ve never warmed to their style.
Tudor has always had a stigma since I first started purchasing watches back in the 80s. I just can’t get past it.
I’m in no rush to purchase a Hyundai or Kia for the same reason.
Loving the Grand Seiko.
Love my Tudor ...and it is the updated Ranger. As options, the Formex Essence 39, Christopher Ward Sealander C63 are closer to the $2K range...but man times are tough, so why not have some fun and keep some cheddar cheese aside for better days?
ОтветитьLove that you mention Sinn and not just going for the usual suspects. Such a great brand! I miss Fortis as brand in your videos, they are so nice also.
ОтветитьLove this video❤
ОтветитьGreat choices! So many top quality watches in that price point. I’d say be careful with the Kenissi GMT movement in Tudor watches. I’m hearing the date wheel fiasco is still happening.
Some people report very long service wait times for this issue because, as you probably know, Tudor uses the hot swap service model for all of their watches. That means when you send in your Tudor for service, your movement is removed and some other person’s refurbished movement is plopped in. Then your movement is refurbished and plopped into the next watch to come in for service. Since there apparently are so many Tudor GMT date wheel issues, there aren’t enough refurbished movements to plop into all of the watches returned for service, hence long wait times. I’d never ever buy a Tudor GMT, but plenty of people do.
The Grand Seiko sbgm221 is a wonderful dress GMT close to your price point.
I have always loved that FC 🙌
ОтветитьI have always loved that FC 🙌
ОтветитьTeddy, if you can, take a look at the Feynman Coalesce Lotus. It’s an enamel dial piece using an ETA 7001 movement. It probably doesn’t fit into any of your categories but I suspect it may get a honorable mention.
Ответить2 Tudors come on this price point and you double up...Tudors are a bland/vanilla as it gets...
ОтветитьIf only Tudor were to fit the Heritage Chrono bracelet to their BB.
ОтветитьI have a Tudor GMT that had the movement issues. It was losing a couple hours of time each day and the date wheel would jump 2 days, landing between dates. My AD sent it back to Rolex and the movement was replaced under warranty, no issues since!
Ответитьam i color blind , bcoz for me that oris looks orange
ОтветитьCan’t overstate how overrated Nomos is. Printed indices at its common price point is insufferable. “Bauhaus” is German for “sucker.”
ОтветитьWhat watch is Teddy wearing in the video?
ОтветитьMy problem with Tudor is that I'm constantly being reminded they are owned by Rolex. They always come out as the poor brother to me. That and I hate the whole "everything's a Black Bay thing".
ОтветитьTeddy lookin fly as always
Ответитьlet me sum up. tudor tudor tudor
ОтветитьLongines New Ultra Chron is in the $3000-4000 price category and is gorgeous and High Beat & 300 Meters
ОтветитьTeddy, Another great video. Keep them coming, please.
ОтветитьNomos watches are as boring as they come. They look no different than a cheap fashion watch. And yes, that Nomos with the power reserve is absolutely sterile and lifeless
ОтветитьGetting a Tudor is basically saying: “I’m too poor to afford a Rolex.”
ОтветитьHey Ted, we’re all looking anyway so how about you tell us what watch you’re wearing at the end of each video?
ОтветитьHey bud, you’ve got the telegram scam thing going on with this one. Heads up
ОтветитьWondering if you have any thoughts on the top time watches from Breitling ?
ОтветитьReally like this channel and Teddy I would love to know the other options for a day/date other than Rolex.
ОтветитьHi does anyone knows what is the watch that Teddy is wearing? Thanks
ОтветитьGreat vid. However, being newer to watch collecting I don’t understand why water resistance matters referencing a watch like the Santos with leather band. I don’t imagine people are taking that in a pool or salt water.. or many of the watches on the list. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m really trying to see the point as most people aren’t diving past 30’ of water if at all.
ОтветитьI like the mention of the Tudor and Rado chronographs, and the Nomos. Definitely not the norm for these types of lists, and promotion a bit of variety in watch collecting is a plus. I definitely didn't have that particular Rado on my radar before, and I'm sure some others are now aware of it that might not have known about it. I'm likely getting the Tudor Pepsi GMT for my birthday this year, so it was good to see that on the list. What's funny is I showed my wife a list of watches I liked after trying them on over the past several months. She had no hesitation in saying she liked the Pepsi GMT, having zero knowledge of the watch style or Tudor. I got no reaction for the Speedmaster Pro, several other luxury watches, and a clear dislike for the Pelagos. Her other favorites were the Omega Railmaster, and the Grand Seiko SBGE285 "Mist Flake." I'd been leaning toward the Pepsi recently anyway, and was hesitant about the cost of the GS (even as a watch lover, it's a lot of money).
ОтветитьStill no Pelagos 39? Pfft
ОтветитьTudor is the same value today Rolex was 20 years ago.
ОтветитьI have a 2021 Tudor GMT Pepsi and no issues at all.. love it but I have it on the leather strap
ОтветитьExcellent video as always Teddy. I really enjoyed this entire list and thank you for all your helpful insight & commentary
Ответитьthe newer FC worldtimer looks more classy imo. Hope you'd review that soon too!
ОтветитьAnother great video. Always like to hear your perspective. Thank you.
