I still personally believe to this day the intent was still a split soul theory but that Michael was actually a robot of Cassidy with the memories of a different boy named Michael and Cassidy was trying to remind his robot version of himself that he is actually Cassidy (this Mikes name being scratched out in the log book) but than fan base clung on to the theory of Cassidy and Evan being two different people…

I’m one of the people that believes that Cassidy and BV merged together in a sense because of their situation, and that’s why fredbear seems both hostile and familiar with the player (possibly Michael)

I think it’s because they share the same body (animatronic), their minds somewhat fused with each other, but it leaves both of them with amnesia. But the hate Cassidy has keeps those memories locked in her head until her happiest day arrives
