ULTIMATE Budget Gaming CPU?! Intel i5 13400F vs AMD Ryzen 5 7600

The i3 13100 is budget

I just got my hands on 3070Ti, and after 1080Ti and i5 8500 platform. I need to build new system around new GPU. I always used intel so I'm happy to try Ryzen 5 7600 maybe 7600x for the first time. Thanks for the video it make me made my choice. I would like to build PC that I can use for next 5 year and in the future just Upgrade GPU and CPU without buying new platform. Seems like Ryzen and DDR5 are way to go. Thanks for the Video

14th Gen now using 1700 boards seems to change that. 14700 looks like an absolute beast as the end of the line for DDR4.

But I wish we could actually see low-mid 13th gen compared as a like for like with DDR5 6000 or similar.

I absolutely, 100% did not expect the 7600 to come close to the 13400F, I recently made a 13100F-4060ti rig for my mate's gf and was very surprised by the smoothness and response of the system.
Looks like I know what I'll be recommending for my next build x'D

which is best for android app dev i5 12400f ddr5, i5 13400f ddr5 , or r7 5800x ddr4

picked up the 13400 and its got all the performance i need and hardly ever goes over 65W, efficient as hell 10/10

13600K🩵 best for bang the shit out of games. its very good. but also ryzen is very good. i chose the i5 for my personal preference runs great since 8 months

If you want to calculate real cost per frame, then also look at the performance per watt. it is totally in favor of amd right now. the R5 7600 has 65W vs intel's insanti watts 150+W. The difference could be like 70 euro's per year in electricty bills in europe.

Value wise I'd honestly go with the i7 and a 4080 don't get the 4090 since the 80 is cheaper and gives almost the same performance even the xtx is good too

Ok let’s think wisely for a moment.. am4 lasted for almost 8 years, assuming that and will follow the same process, “they sell cpus not motherboards” so am5 will last for 8 years let’s assume in five years with the same motherboard just a bios update and the same rams you only have to buy is a new cpu of your choice. so invest in a good motherboard that will last for years. Think that companies will want to stock out the old hardware it’s all about business. A 100 pounds more now will save you hundreds of pounds in the future!

По сути 7600 (х) прямой соперник 12600к с Ddr5...Не стоит забывать, что 13400 это переименованный маркетологами 12600к с заниженными частотами и немного слабее видео ядром, имеет степпинг С0 и у него такой же кремний что у 12600к и кэши всех уровней идентичны! 7600 шустрее 13400 в играх до 10%...ИМХО...

Don't know why I am watching this. I am not that much of a gamer. Modern games like shoot'em ups don't interest me that much.

My current computer is well over 10 years old and some of the parts are even older than that. Really need to upgrade. My Corsair AX750 PSU is doing very well considering it is 10 years old(touch wood). Last time I looked at PC parts to upgrade I was shocked at the prices. Talking £200 just for a budget motherboard, god! My current motherboard I only paid £50 or so for ten years ago(It is very budget or it was for 2013) and a basic Celeron CPU with 8GB of DDR3(I think). Enough for internet browsing and the odd DVD or it was. It runs very slow now. Streaming video is all buffering at times and I had my computer just crash and shut down on me sometimes. If only I had a thousand quid to upgrade.

Only reason I'm put off by amd cpus is because since getting my Ryzen 5 5600X I've had random full system crashes, like it black screens and reboots with the event viewer showing the WHEA logger error.

I really want the Ryzen 5 7600, but sadly its motherboard only comes with DDR5 meanwhile DDR5 RAM is still very expensive. I'd go for Ryzen 7000 series only if DDR5 RAM could come out cheaper or its motherboard could still support DDR4. For now, I'd stick to 13400F with DDR4 RAM since I only do gaming, and the gaming performance diff between DDR4 and 5 is not that significant so it's not worth it for me. For a better future-proofing, Ryzen 7000 might be a better choice than Intel. This is just my opinion guys, feel free to share yours as well so that we can share knowledge each other.

just bought my i5 13400 and i must say its the cooldest cpu i've ever had!! been using amd ever since i had a pc and this is a first time changing to Intel & had no regrets!

I plan to stay 1080P so the intel is the best deal for I. I want a cheaper ITX motherboard than you can get with new AMD boards and to use the ram I have.

idk if anyone would be interested but the 12600kf cpu is about $10-15 cheaper than the 13400f and it has about 7-10% better all around except for power consumption is about 50% more $27 a year vs $17 with the 13000f but in a gaming pc who cares lol

Hey guys I’m upgrading from i5-7500 / gtx 1060 6gb. I’m getting a 3060 Ti and can’t decide on cpu. Will the 12400f be fine? Or is the 13400f worth getting in the long run? Though an extra $100 AUD for me :/ and the 13500 is is $170 more. Don’t want to go overboard on the cpu if I don’t have to. Also may want to get a 1440p monitor soon so would that affect my decision. Appreciate any advice thankyou

Motherboard and ram producers said that they want a piece of cake. With games being less and less fun, plus greed causing hardware and game prices ( pay 2 win) to rise we may see pc gaming market shrink pretty soon.

Test 13400 with ddr5 same kit as Ryzen. You say it’s worth spending more to get more for 7600, but dont bother to do so for the intel setup.

I have a 13400f here next to me and have heard conflicting opinions about this card with 3060 and 6600XT cards. Those are the two cards I'd get for my 1080p gaming and also within my budget.
Can anyone advise me. I've heard the CPU is too much for those cards and the GPU would not perform at peak usage because of the CPU. I really only play Dead By Daylight, I'll get into Overwatch but i do have Xbox Game Pass for other titles to play in 1080p and my monitor is an AOC 1080p/165hz.

Just a quick silly question but when you are bottlenecking on the CPU aren't you just testing processor cash capability and shouldn't you be looking for results just below the bottlenecking to get correct frame times?

can you do a comparrison between the 13400f & 13700f paried with a 4070ti maybe? felling the 4090 was a bit too much.

Budget? A motherboard, 7600 CPU, 16gb RAM and a cooler is almost as expensive as my whole current PC with a Ryzen 3600, 16gb ram, 1tb ssd and 5600xt gpu... So what would the whole PC be? 1500euros and more? Maybe in 2years with the new platform Budget builds might be possible.
